It had been a year since the attack at the graduation, and Mina and I were still going strong. She and I had never been closer. Our hero game was on point as well. We even got invited to join a new super-team founded by Izuku and our old friends. The Protectors, we were called. We moved out of the apartment and into Protector tower. It was a little strange at first, but Mina stayed positive and lifted my spirits. And to top it all off, our birthdays were fast approaching. She was born a week after me. We were both turning 16! Everyone was planning something big. Toru told me.

" Hey Mina!" I said day while she was practicing acid surfing. She pulled up right next to me and shouted:

"Surf's up!"

Some acid fell on me, but I had gotten used to it at this point.

"Oops. Sorry!" She apologized. She's so cute when she does that. I just pulled her in close and lifted her mask off.

"You know, I think you're too cute to wear this thing everywhere." She blushed madly, so I just kissed her. She always enjoys when I do that.

" Anyway, everyone is planning something big for our birthdays! Toru told me so!" She squealed in happiness and flapped her arms like she does when she's this happy.

"I know! She told me too! I just don't know what it is..." she trailed off.

"Well, as long as you're here, I'm happy." She hugged me tight when I said that. after that, we trained together for the rest of the day.

(1 week later)

We walked into the gym of the tower to see streamers, balloons, the dj turntables, cake, and everyone there. We knew it was coming, but we acted surprised regardless. We partied for hours until the dj said:

"Alright y'all, this next song was requested for Mina by Mister Birthday boy himself! So let's get the beats bangin'!" I didn't request any song, but I saw how happy it made Mina, so I rolled with it. The song was "That's my Girl" by Fifth Harmony, accompanied by a montage of Mina and I's moments as a couple. It was really heartwarming seeing all these old memories with my gorgeous girlfriend, but hopefully with my birthday present for her, we would be more than BF and GF... but back to my birthday!

After the party was over, we headed back to our room, but I couldn't find Mina. That's when I turned around to see her in her old cheerleader outfit from the games. she looked incredible.

"So, what do you think? I found it recently and I'd thought you'd like to see me in it again..." Her blush was absolutely huge. I just grabbed her and hugged her. I didn't want to let her go. But I had to, sadly. I guess this is my present from her, but I was wrong.

"Oh! two more things! BRB!" she ran off to grab something. When she came back, she handed me a little white box. What the hell, I thought to myself. I opened the box to see a ring inside.

"I knew you were planning this for a while, so I beat you to the punch. And yes, I do." I stood there in shock and amazement. Mina and I were engaged. I almost shed a tear placing the ring on her finger, I was so happy. We kissed for a long time afterwards, only separating for air.

"Wait, you said there two things, what's the second one?" I asked, puzzled. She proceeded to take off her top, revealing she had no bra on underneath. We crawled into bed together.

"So, still wanna do this hero thing after the wedding?" I asked, but I already knew the answer.

"Of course! Why would I quit doing this just because we're married?" She said. I kissed her and ruffled her hair.

"That's my girl." I said happily. We dozed off to sleep. At this point, my life is awesome. I'm actually a hero like I had always dreamed, Red is gone for the next couple years, and best of all, I'm engaged to the girl of my dreams, Mina Ashido. Things couldn't get much better than this. After all these years, I'm finally truly happy.
