SEASON 3: SEEING DOUBLE

The next day, Mina and I took Purple out on patrol. Since he could holo-cloak, he just had to make a costume up out of holograms. He chose a purple facemask and cape, along with a darker purple unitard, boots and gloves. After he chose a costume, we gave him the nickname "Purple Powerhouse". Soon, we were on a building overlooking the city, the same one that nearly killed me. Purple used his heat wave scanner and extreme zoom in optics to locate any crimes. We were investigating a series of robberies where the crooks disappeared into the crowd. We sat there for what felt like hours. During this time, I decided to talked to Mina.

"So this is what it's like to be married, huh?" I said, trying to break the ice.

"Yeah. Not as exciting as I thought it would be. I thought it would be the same." She sulked. I could tell she felt the same way.

"Well, what can we do to spice it up? I don't want our marriage to be like this forever!" I pouted. Purple walked over and talked to us.

"I have a suggestion. Why not go on vacation after we solve this case?"
No wonder this guy's a robot. He's a genius!

"Purple, you're a genius!" Mina screamed. We had to cancel the honeymoon as we had hero stuff to do and no one to take our place on the team while we were gone, but with Purple, Minoru, Yuga, Denki, Chiyo and Katsuki on the team, we could afford to leave for a while.

"If we did, where would we go Mina?" I asked, thinking about it myself.

"Cabbo? Bahamas? Fiji?" She spitballed some ideas before we heard an explosion three blocks away from us. It was the bank. We rushed there as soon as we could, Mina using acid jet, her new flight ability from Phantom, Purple using feet mounted rockets, and myself using UI to fly faster than Blue. We arrivedand prepared our normal introduction:

"Prepare for justice, bad guy! For we are here to bring you to justice!"
But the the robbers were two people we never thought would rob a bank: ourselves! They were wearing our old costumes, but they looked just like us!

"Oh no. They found us. We have to fight!" Fake me said, kinda robotic.

"Right! Let's get these fakers out of the way so we can get this money back to the boss!" Fake Mina shouted, flinging acid at real Mina. I stepped in front of her, activating the new invisible shield Phantom industries gave me to save her. Returning to favor to our attackers, we charged at them, fake me turning Pseudo Red. Tch. Amateur. I used Ultra Instinct and punched fake me in the face. Huh. This is strangely soothing, smashing my weirdly punchable face. That's when I noticed wires and sparks coming from fake me's face. Mina noticed too as the fakes disappeared, leaving the money behind.

"What just happened?" We both asked. We decided to visit Phantom again, to see if they were missing any robots from the PUR series.

We barged into the robot wearhouse as mr Nakikowa was there, doing an inspection.

"Ah Pinky, Rainbow, what brings you back this fine establishment?" He asked, and weexpained what we saw.

"Come with me. The robots are in this room.), leading to a back room, where we saw all of Purple's brothers on a hanging rack.

"Guess that rules out thieves from the factory. What else could it be?" Mina asked, myself pondering the question.

"Maybe someone cloned us and have them cybernetic implants. It kinda made sense as the Protectors all took blood samples when we joined to be used to bring back killed members. By that time, night had fallen, so we returned to the tower and slept on it. Maybe an answer would c ome in the morning.
