Chapter six: watching

(James' P.O.V)
Looking at the ceiling of my bedroom I can see where my mom missed a spot when she painted it. I miss my mom. She has been dead for over two years now and I miss her but I know she's in a better place. I haven't seen my dad much either. I've been in hiding ever since 'the accident'. That being when they killed my mom. My dad has never been the same since.
He knows he was partially responsible for it because of his position but he didn't exactly pull the trigger. My life would be completely different if he wasn't an ex-spy for Zelton. Zelton is a secret organization that works for the government with deep deep undercover work. I used to train with them before Mr. Blight took over and turned it into a secret society of it's own, no longer working for the U.S.. My dad took us away and we lived peacefully for almost a year before they found us and killed my mom. We moved again and we now live in Florida and we haven't heard from them since.
"JAMES!" my dad calls me into the office. He never wants me around much because I remind him to much of my mom, so I wonder why he called me so urgently.
As I walk into the room I ask, "what's up?"
He turns to me in the office chair with a stern yet worried face. "Do you know this girl?!" he asks spinning back around to reveal a dark image on the screen. It's so dark that I can only see the outline of a girl's body pinned to a silver table. I move closer for a better look as he clicks play on the video.
A man that I can't see says, "Last chance dear, where is he?!" and when The girl don't answer he says. "Alright darling at least put on a good show." The camera slowly moves in and I can see the girl's blonde hair but I still can't see her face because she doesn't look at the camera. A whip suddenly comes down on her face and she screams. I don't know where from, but I recognize the scream. Or not the scream but the voice. Another lash hits her arm, another scream. The girl finally looks at the camera and I see the tears streaming down her face and then I see who it is.
I jump back and grab the table behind me for stability. This is all my fault. I did this to her. My hands rush to my forehead and my hair as I turn away listening to her scream and cry. I turn back around to see blood dripping down from her beautiful cheek. OH MY GOD!!! I have to go help her.
My dad pauses it and looks at me sternly. "Who is it?!" He demands.
"Iiiit... iiit's.... Cccc..... Caroline!" I finally spit out. I look at my dad with shock on my face and I say, "I have to go."

Okay... soooo did you like it!!!
Now you finally know the secret! Did you like James' point of view? It was definitely fun to write it.
Sorry it took so long I also have been writing my other book that I just started. I published the first chapter of it today, it's called 'Why Can't I Love Someone Else?' I hope you like it too!
Thanks for being patient.
Love ya!
