Dear Diary,
It is two years to the day since that night in which I fought those men with my brother Luca. No one even found out my secret because we killed all the men. I can still remember t nohat day clearly and often replay it in my head. I was fifteen then. I continue to practice fencing daily with my father and Luca. Not everyone in the Castello even knows that I can fence and that I have been since I was ten. Tomorrow I turn eighteen and am still unmarried. Father has prolonged this event as long as possible to keep me close but he must find me a suitor soon or too many questions will be raised. I hope he finds someone honourable.
Sincerely,
Alessandra Bartoletti
