The calm before the storm
A laugh before it all goes wrong
The sound of silence before insanity
Because silence can make you insaneA cluster of flowers picked from a field
Ready to wilt as they haven't been saved
Throw them away, they have no purpose
Other than to look pretty to the eyeIt's 4am and I'm reading a book
It's about a man who lost everything
There's nothing he can do, he wants to die
He can't because the author won't let himA fan blowing onto me is making me shiver
Yet the rest of my room is 40 degrees hot
I have no energy to turn the fan off
I close my eyes and pull my blanket overHorrible thoughts racing through my head
My fan turns off, power must have died
It's silent for what seems like an eternity
My eyes are closed, I've gone insane
