It was a month since Micah had left for college and my life had changed in so many ways.... I had arrived africa 3 weeks back and I couldn't have been more happy... the reception from my family was everything and I was thankful I had people to call family....
Lilian grand aunt called, you have a call.... I rushed downstairs not minding that I had just panties and a little crop top on.... few months had gone by and I was still expecting to hear from Micah... I missed him and it hurt but I was learning, learning to love him more, learning to love him from a distance, learning to protect our love, learning to be patient, and above all FINDING ME....
Hey I whispered into the phone.... the atmosphere was calm and the stars were shining brightly.... I miss you he whispered back... tears built up around my eyes as they waited for the right time to drop... I am sorry I haven't called since I left, but this place was more than I expected.... it's all ok now, i said... as I struggled to stop the tears from dropping and my voice from breaking.... I have heard your voice and I think I am better now.... we went ahead to talk about all that had happened since we were apart... he told me all about his new school, friends the environment and a whole lot....
If was a long night but it was beautiful because we Found each other but most importantly I had FOUND myself again...
Micah had promised to always keep in contact and increase the number of times he calls on skype I was so glad we could talk more often, it was everything I wanted since the distance... Micah had complained about the number of girls that disturb him daily and how he told them of how beautiful his girlfriend his... I was jealous but of course he always reassured me of his love and that was everything....
As I stared into the ceiling of my room the thoughts of us being together again filled my head and that made my mind drift of... my phone vibrated waking me up from the doze of sleep which I had initiated on the couch while thinking about us... it was a text from Micah and I was excited as I read it word for word...
I love you and adore you.....and every second we were together i fell further in love with you.....but i never thought that being away from you i would fall in love with you 10 times more.... I love you Lilian and never forget this....
Monday was another day and another beginning and I was ready to face the real world... I read Micah's beautiful message until sleep 😴 creeped in....
