Morning After

questions.

Connection,
it is a relationship,
in which a person,
thing, or idea,
is linked or associated
with something,
or someone else.

Infatuation,
it is an intense,
but short-lived passion,
or admiration
for someone,
or something.

The question is,
did we have a connection?
Or was it just infatuation?

We're we linked together,
as if we were meant for each other?
Or were we just caught in the moment,
of a short-lived passion to be with each other?

It's hard to tell,
because this "short-lived" passion still lives on.
It's still there,
burning inside of me.
Providing me with hope,
that this isn't just infatuation.
But it is simply,
a connection.

Although,
there are times when I start to think,
and I come to the conclusion that,
we too, have lost our connection.
At times we lose touch of each other.
We don't speak,
we don't call or text,
we just, become unlinked.
We slowly drift apart.

And if we were to have
such a strong connection,
why, would it fade so quickly?

Does this mean that,
we are not infatuated?

Does this mean that,
we are also not connected?

Does that mean,
we are,
nothing?

If we are nothing,
was there ever,
something?
