Genuine friendships,
they're so hard to find nowadays.
It's so hard to find a person who is willing to stick by your side, and not have them turn their backs on you.
It's so hard to find a person who is worthy of your trust, and someone who is willing to work for it.
It is rare to find a friend who will actually stay with you no matter the circumstance. Because nowadays people are afraid, they are afraid that one day, you will turn your back on them and become an enemy they would have never expected to have
They choose to stay with whom they already trust in. They choose to stay with the same people just because it is in their "comfort zone."
But how can you make new friends if your mindset is to stay with the same old people who constantly hurt you? People whom you still consider as a "friend."
A friend does not go behind your back and call you annoying.
A friend does not go behind your back and talk crap with your other friends.
A friend does not leave you out just because of one mistake.
That, is an acquaintance. That is a person who does not deserve a place in your life. They do not deserve to be given the trust and friendship in which you provide.
For if you truly think about it, that "friend" who talks behind your back.
That "friend" who leaves you out of everything, is a "friend" who is jealous of you.
They are jealous of the fact that you can prosper on your own.
They are jealous of the fact that once you were able to realize the truth about them, you were able to take that hate and turn it into self-love.
Like the saying goes, "a bully only messes with a person to distract them from their own problems."
So don't worry if those people whom you used to call your "friends" are talking crap about you.
Only worry about yourself and those whom you TRULY trust.
Always watch out for your own back, and for those who actually watch yours.
Those acquaintances are just like toys. Never get jealous when your 'friends' find a replacement for you, because my parents once told me to always give your toys to the less fortunate.
