 George's POV-

'Just go for it mate,' I hear. The voice is the most recognizable thing I the world to me. Fred's. 'But what if she doesn't like me?' I say desperately. I can't see my brother, where is his voice coming from? 'Come on silly brother, you look like me right?' I nod. 'Then you'll have no problem getting her!' I have to smile at my brothers lack of thoughtfulness, and I suddenly see him right in front of me, smiling back. 'George,' he says. 'It's time to wake up.' I look at him questioningly and tilt my head. He does the same. 'Wake up,' he repeats.  'Fred,' we say in unison. He starts to fade from my view, unless it's just my reflection? But it has to be him! I hear his voice perfectly! It still calls out, even now as everything swoons together into a big mess. 'George, George, wake up..' I see him again, very distant, and I start running for him. 'Fred! Don't leave me again! Fred!' 'George..'

"FRED!!!" I wake up sweating with Hermione standing over me. She looks petrified at my very sight, and no doubt my yelling didn't help anything. "W-what's happened?" I heaved. Looking around, I see that it's only me, her, and the still sleeping Meredy.

"Nothings happened. You were shaking like a leaf  and muttering to yourself. I tried snapping you out of it but you wouldn't so I had to wake you. I'm sorry, you scared me."

"Sorry 'Ermione.." I mumbled. "What time is it?"

"About four. You don't seem as though you've slept much. Shall I watch her for you?"

I'm not entirely sure how to respond. Of course, I do need sleep, but I don't want to dive in to another fit. And what if I'm not around when Meredy wakes? What then? Wait, I hardly know her any more than the rest of the family does. Besides Ron and Harry of course.. In the end I only have one choice. "Thanks, I'll go off to bed then." I smile at Hermione as she gives me a smile and a gentle You-Big-Dork tap on the shoulder.  Crashing down on my bed, it feels so good. Nice and soft, with that fresh cold feeling of sheets. It's not long before I'm in a deep sleep once again.

I didn't dream this time, I'm sane. For a few seconds I've been in that state where you just wake up but don't open your eyes yet, ya know? But when I do.. "Agh!"

"Agh! That's a downright awful way to say good morning!"

I opened my eyes  to see a bright green and blue one staring back at me. What the bloody hell is she in my bed for?

"What are you doing?!"

"Sleeping, mind you. Your bed is much better than the couch." Meredy said blandly before closing her eyes and re-snuggling into the blankets. What do I do, what do I do?? Wait... Breathe. She's just sleeping. And it's four in the bloody morning!  Go...to...sleep!

****

"Wakey wakey big guy." Dammit. Again. Let, me, sleep! "It's noon. We've slept through breakfast." Opening my eyes, I see the same pair that I saw this morning. Well earlier this morning that is.

"Meredy.. Get off.." I mumbled. She lowered her face to where it was a few mere centimeters away from mine. She smiles and starts to lean in, what the..

"You're cute, ya know? I dig reds." a centimeter or less away and she stops. Her breath is so warm, so sweet... I move in. But shes gone. What the hell? She was just here! I look around, I'm alone. And only wearing boxers. Where did my clothes go..? Oh right, Meredy wasn't with me when I actually went to bed. I stripped like I usually would. Then again, when did she get up here? No matter. She's gone and I need to put clothes on to go downstairs. I slipped on a pair of faded jeans and an old Ireland Quidditch tee before heading down to find everyone in the living room. Mum was the first to greet me. "Nice of you to join us!" she called from the kitchen. I sat in the only open spot on the couch by Meredy and she smiled at me.

"Good morning, Red." she said lightly.

"Good morning, Rainbow Fish." I smiled back at her. She laughed and sipped on some nasty remedy mum had given her, followed by a sour face. I laughed aloud and little James, who was crawling on the floor smiled at me. "Georgie!" he said holding up his chubby little hands.

"Come here you!" I said lifting him up onto my lap. He giggled. He's so much more fun now that he can play instead of just lay and drool on my chest. And now that Ginny doesn't freak out when I hold him. I looked up to my family as I bounced him on my knee. "So when's little Longbottom coming?" I asked. Harry opened his mouth to speak, but he was interrupted by a knocking at the door.

"We just sent the letter," he filled in as Ron went to the door. A moment later Neville Longbottom is in the living room, frantically scanning the place. Spotting Meredy, they both go wide-eyed.

"Neville!"

"Meredy!"

She jumped up and hugged him, her hair turning bright bright orange. Is that normal. It's a little too bright...

"I've looked for you everywhere!" Meredy said excitedly. "I've missed you so much!" then she stopped, and stared at him. Her joy faded noticeably.

"What is it? What's wrong little sister??" Neville asked feverently.

"N-Neville.. Why didn't you come for me..?"

His face grew solemn. "Meredy, they told me.. They told me you were dead."
