Finn and Millie had a meeting with their managers today. As they walked into the room on set, they were greeted by both of their managers. Finn had finished filming IT and he was starting to film season two of Stranger Things. They hadn't even read the script for episode one when they were already called in for a meeting.
"Hello Millie!" Millie's manager greeted her.
Millie had just stood there, an awkward look on her face. She was very scared. Her and Finn rarely had any meetings with their managers.
"So..." Finn's manager started "With all the buzz about season two coming out and with the production of starting season two, we thought a good way to being publicity to the show is to have you two date!" The manager explained, making shock plaster Finn's face.
"Excuse me?" Finn spoke up
"Did you not understand a word that came out of my mouth?" His manager asked "Do I have to say it slower so you can progress it?" He finally asked
"It's just..." Finn started but the words couldn't seem to come out
"We're waiting." Millie's manager said
"Me and Finn don't like each other, not like that." Millie said breaking all the silence and awkwardness.
"Yes, well the thing is it's not going to be a real relationship, it's going to be faked, like most relationships in Hollywood. You're going to 'date' while filming and break up after the show comes out." Millie's manager explained emphasizing the hand quotes around the word "date".
Millie looked at her manager stone cold. She knew Finn liked Angie but Angie was dating Sabrina.
"We'll do it." Millie stated, Finn looked up at her as she arose from her chair
"But after everything is said and done, you're both going to be fired." She finished
"Let's go Finn, we have a table-read to attend." Millie said, tapping Finn's shoulder.
Finn got up and grabbed his sweater and followed Millie out of the room.
Before they could walk into the building where the table-read was being held, Finn stopped Millie dead in her tracks.
"Are we going to talk about what went on in there or not?" Finn questioned.
"Listen Finn, I know you like Angie but you have to move on. For the both of us, please." Millie said looking straight into his eyes with no emotion at all on her face.
"What do you mean?" Finn questioned, confused on what Millie was trying to say
"I'm saying, you're already feeling insecure about yourself thinking you aren't right for Angie, that's affecting you. But if you come into work like that, it's going to not only affect your work schedule, but it's going to affect us too. We can't just sit around and wait all day until you finally decide to ease up and say you're over Angie. Let's just do this, it'll be over before you know it." Millie explained opening the door to the building
Finn followed her in, and after that day, they did not say a word to each other. Until the next day arrived where they would have to confirm their "relationship"
