Hey Upper East Siders,
Hoping this reaches all of you enjoying your holiday vacation. Our favorite Manhattan Elite have been spotted all over, enjoying their vacation the only way the true royalty could. S and B have been spotted shopping around Paris while our Golden Boy has been seen with family at the Vanderbilt manor. Chuck has kept it close, and strictly business, being spotted constantly working on his new business venture. As for M, we haven't seen her. Keeping it low key this vacation? We'll find out sooner or later.
You know you love me,
xoxo, gossip girl.Madison's POV:
I sat in our living room, tossing another handful of popcorn in my mouth as I continued to watch Hello Dolly on my laptop. Dorota walked up to me, "Miss Madison? You haven't left penthouse in days."
I let out a breath of relief, nodding slowly. "Yeah, everyone's out of town so I don't really have anyone to hang out with," I said quietly as she smiled.
"I am always here to bring good company," she said as I smiled back at her. I honestly wanted to be avoided by all means possible. After the night at the lounge, Gossip Girl had gotten pictures of Chuck and I entering the hotel together. I just wanted to avoid him and the topic all together. I heard the elevator chime open, furrowing my brows as I looked up to see Dan standing there with a timid smile.
"Hey um, Serena said she had given Blair this book of mine- Blair told her it was in her room," he said as I nodded, quickly getting up.
"I can get it, you can sit down if you'd like," I said before quickly going upstairs to look for it. I didn't really need to ask for the title saying
that the only books Blair owned was all her diaries. I hummed, grabbing a book I found on her desk. Room. I nodded to myself, a good one. I made it back downstairs to see Dan watching Hello Dolly."This is what you spend your time watching?" he said as I laughed lightly, handing him the book.
"What's wrong with it? I think it's good. Barbra Streisand slays the role," I said sitting beside him as he continued to watch it.
"Yeah but I mean, it's a musical," he said looking over at me.
"Okay, and?" I said grabbing my bag of popcorn.
"Well, you don't seem like the type to watch musicals. You seem to be one for those classy movies with Audrey Hepburn or some stuff like that," he shrugged as I rolled my eyes.
"That's my sister, not me. And although, Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic, I prefer my Broadway classics," I hummed. "Hello Dolly isn't even the best one," I said as he rose a brow.
"Oh and which one do you believe is the best?" he said as I shrugged.
"Definitely between West Side Story and the original version of Cinderella, with Julie Andrews," I hummed happily as he nodded.
"Well, you certainly have a tendency to surprise people," he joked as I smiled at him. The whole rest of the afternoon we spent it together, talking about our favorite books and movies and honestly having a blast. Who knew a boy from Brooklyn could have so much fun. We had reached a brief pause in the conversation before he bit his lip.
"So what's up with you and Chuck?" he said as I frowned.
"Nothing. People want to twist it into something it's not. I was just making sure he got home okay that night," I said simply as he rose a brow. I sighed, "I mean, he did try something because well, he's Chuck Bass. I just stopped it and left before anything else happened," I said simply.
He nodded slowly, "Don't get me wrong, Chuck's a...erm well, decent guy. But he's tried to get with my sister and also Serena when she came back," he said with a small shrug. "Maybe just to stay friends with him is best."
I nodded in agreement, "I feel that he doesn't really want anything more," I said simply. Dan had just realized the time, excusing himself knowing his dad would flip if he wasn't home early. That was actually the first time Dan and I had actually hung out the two of us. I smiled to myself, he was a good guy. I needed to keep him close.
It was one in the morning as I laid in bed before hearing Dorota yelling at someone downstairs, quickly getting up and going to the staircase. My eyes softened seeing a very drunk Chuck trying to get past Dorota to the stairs. I frowned, "Chuck what are you doing?" I snapped as Dorota let out a breath of relief to see I was here to help her. I walked down the stairs, telling Dorota to go back to sleep. He hiccuped.
"I-I thought you left the country again! You disappeared and there's no one else in town," he slurred as I rolled my eyes.
"Chuck go home," I muttered as I went back
to the stair. He chuckled."Not without a kisssss," he said as I scoffed.
"Chuck, you're drunk. Again. Just please, go home I don't have the energy-" I cut myself off seeing he was practically pressing himself against me, his breath smelled of scotch. "Good God," I muttered as he chuckled huskily.
"You're so cute when you're angry," he cooed, tucking a hair behind my ear as I swatted his hand away, pushing him off me.
"Look. You can sleep in Blair's room if you want to, but you need to just- leave me alone," I said getting this uneasy feeling in my stomach.
That five minute confrontation led to almost an hour of trying to put Bass asleep. I was finally getting him under the covers as he smiled weakly at me, forcing himself to keep his eyes open. "You take care of me, M," he mumbled as I laughed weakly.
"Yeah okay Bass, what are friends for," I hummed as I began to walk out of the room.
"You're pretty, M," he said as I turned to look at him. "You got a cute little butt. A really nice laugh. Beautiful smile," he said continuing to mumble other things as he dosed off. What was he doing? I bit on my lip, walking to my room,
just thinking over his words. Chuck has never given me a non-sexual compliment. I shrugged it off, deciding it was better just to brush it off. I remembered what Dan told me.It was better to stay friends.
