Nashi's POV:
We ran towards the cloaked man, attacks ready. We were all determined to stop this guy. We couldn't let him brake apart this guild. Fairytail brought me in when I had no one, made me feel accepted when I was an outcast and made me feel like family when I never knew what that was like, and I was not going to let them down. I was going to beat this guy or die trying.
"You kids really think you can beat me!?" The man cakled wildly. His smirk disgusted me as my anger welled up inside before I finally burst.
"Shut your trap! We will beat you and you'll be sorry that you ever messed with Fairy tail!" I sneered as everyone cheered along with me. We charged the man who was surprised at our actions because he thought that we would do some more monologing before we started to fight. All 7 of us ran getting our most powerful attack ready. Then we began to release them one by one. As the attacks hit him he didn't seem to be getting hurt but I could see the determination in his eyes, he was not going down easily but luckily for us we were also determined. We weren't going to let our guild mates fight, that we knew for sure. When it came time due for me to use my attack something happened.
"You won't attack me if I hurt him! The man pointed to Kaito and my heart sunk. "Don't think I'm not smart enough to know that you two have a thing! It was obvious how protective he is of you." He smiled but I ignored his bluff. No one is stupid enough to use up their strength on attacking when they're being attacked head on. I lunged forward and shouted my spell 'fire Dragon iron fist' as I got close to the man in dragon form. My reasoning for attacking was fool proof but what I didn't expect was that this guy would be strong enough to block and attack at the same time. I hit his chest and he yelped a bit but when I looked behind me Kaito was laying on the ground in a pile of smoke. I rushed over to him with the strength I had left to check if he was okay. He sat up and smiled at me.
"I'm okay, for now. I'm almost out of magic energy so I won't be much help. ..I'm sorry I failed you." Kaito looked down sadly
"Kaito, you did not fail me!" I grabbed the teary eyed boy off the ground and hugged him tightly. I could feel his weakness and it scared me. "Kaito, you need to get out of here!"
"What!?" Kaito asked.
"Just trust me! You have to go, please." I pleaded. Kaito nodded and began to walk out of the area where the fight was and towards the trees which outlined the battlefield.
"Running away already!? Well I guess I'll have to change the rules a bit." He flung his wrist in our direction causing a purple ring he was wearing to glow and a magic circle burst out of it. Then emerging from the ground a giant stone wall rose up all around us.
I turned to Sky, "you have to get him out of here! Understand?" I asked and she nodded. Sky flew towards the blue haired mage and picked him up with her paws. I turned to the 'dragon' and sneered as he smiled. I looked behind me to see that Sky was just above the wall but then an invisible spell blocking them caused Sky and Kaito to fall from the sky. Tomo and I saw this and both started to sprint towards them. "I'VE GOT KAITO, YOU GET THE CAT!" I yelled as I dove for Kaito. I barely caught him, when he looked up at me with a huge smile.
"Does anyone else have deja voo?" He laughed but I couldn't. I glared back at the man and he glared back at me.
"You aren't going to get away with this!" I yelled. Kaito got up and wiped a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth.
"I can't just stand here and watch you fight. I wouldn't have any honor if I stood and watch my friends fight for me. I'll fight and I'll win, even if I have to die." Kaito looked down at me with a look on his face that I had never seen before. I nodded knowing I couldn't talk him out of it. Kaito held out his hand to help me up and I took it. We were both standing now, I was holding his hand when he looked at me. I knew what he was saying before he said a word. His eyes were screaming 'let me go fight' and I nodded. We turned to the 'dragon' our hands still interlaced. We let go and ran towards the monster and gave it all we had, everyone continued to fight but I kept an eye on Kaito.
I looked over at Kaito to make sure he was still okay and he smiled back. While my head was turned I didn't notice the man throwing a bolder at me. When I looked back my leg was stuck underneath it. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed out in pain as my leg bled and I struggled to free it. I could see Kaito's face drop as he began to run to me. I could see the dragon warming up an attack directed directly at Kaito. "KAITO! LOOK OUT!" I screamed as tears and terror filled my eyes. He looked towards the giant beam of light coming right for him but he didn't have enough time to get out of the way. The seconds that followed were the worst few seconds of my life. The beam went right through his chest and through the ground behind him. Kaito fell to his knees before falling onto his face. I could see black clouding my vision. "Kaito..." I whispered as I slowly lost consiousness.
