At my school we had a poetry evening and the topic was "What speaks to your soul?"
Soundtrack of my Soul
With me music is what speaks to my soul
But to most it's just pleasant sound
Music is a language that only few truly understand
That is what I have found
The reason why I love music is it takes me far away
From frozen paradises and dry havens
To where I'd like to be someday
It speaks to and tells me all is better than ok
I guess I can say music is the perfect land for me
Like my own wonderland or a second home
I love anything that finds a way to touch me
Or just take me to a land I can roam
Music helped me make a good friend
One I know I'll have for life
Playing the piano and living with music,
Is something that makes me enjoy the gift of life
If music were a garden notes are the flowers that grow
Music is like liberating a dove that was once a caged crow
My notes can warm your heart if you feel forlorn
Just like God inspires the perfect notes of songbirds...
