There was a pressing feeling on my chest making me groan in annoyance.
"Chai?" I asked in delight.
'I doubt you will find her here' Liah sighed.
Looking around the large room only to find that I was not in Monarch High.
'Stuck in denial?' Kai questioned lightheartedly.
'It seems surreal' my lips began to quiver.
I don't know why the tears began to fall even though it was decided that this was the right place to be.
'It takes a lot of getting use to' Liah said quietly.
There was a tingling sensation that erupted under every movement I made. The numbness was washed away by hot water and was replaced with determination.
Putting on some clothes that Anne gave to me, I took my applications and headed through the door.
Marching into the streets, I noticed how the people around me walked freely. They were like normal people but probably had more problems to deal with than humans on earth.
It was a wonder how long creatures had to coexist with humans trying to hide their abilities.

"Sunshine!" Harry greeted me as I walked into the cafe.
"Kai is fine" I said thinking of ways he and Anne could get together.
"Are those applications I see?" He asked gesturing to my small stack of papers.
"You have good vision, my friend" I teased while sitting on a stool in front of him.
"Ouch, did I just get friend zoned?" He touched his heart mockingly.
"You never had a chance in the first place" spinning around in the chair made me face a girl who was smiling in amusement.
"Hi, I'm Cherry" she stuck her hand out which I shook eagerly.
"Do you know where I can find the owner?" I asked politely.
"You are talking to her!" Harry whispered in my ear.
"That would be me, what are you looking for?" She said professionally.
"A job?"  I said hopefully making her eyes light up.
"We've been looking for employees," her lips pursed in thought, "consider this your interview"
Cherry was so nice and basically handed me the job. I was so happy that tears pricked my eyes, things were starting to fall into place.
She showed me around explaining what I would be assigned to do, how much I would get paid and what day everyone got paid.
There were few people working in the cafe and too much costumers coming in, let's say I got lucky.

"So how did it go?" Harry asked while leaning up against the counter.
"We are going to be work buddies!" I hugged him and poked his stomach.
'You mean abs?' Liah moaned.
'Liah!' Kai said in disgust.
'What?' She asked in confusion.
"I think Anne would be happy for me" I said innocently purposely bringing her name up.
"I know she would, she has the heart of an angel" he said blankly while walking with me outside.
"All we have to do is celebrate!" Throwing my hands up in the air in happiness.
"Well my friends and I are going to this party later" his eyes trailed to the floor as if he was about to say something else.
"And you would like Anne to go?" I teased.
"I didn't say that!" His eyes flew open.
"You did not not say it either" I said laughing at his flustered face.
"Well-" he started.
"We will go to the party but how will we get there?" I cut him off at my sudden thought.
"DeAnne should have my number" he patted my head and we parted ways.
Entering the building in excitement made Sarah glance at me curiously, today she wore her hair in a bun making her look even more beautiful than she already is.
"Why are you so happy?" A perfectly arched brow was raised.
"Guess who got a job!?" I squealed.
"No way, that's really good news!" She wrapped her arms around me gracefully.
"I know! I can't wait to tell DeAnne" thanking Sarah for congratulating me and giving her one last hug, I walked to the elevator.

"Annnne" I sung while bursting through the doors.
"Wha- Bloody hell, Kai!" I laughed at her frightened face.
"We are going to party like we are alive!" Going into her closet and pulling out two dresses, she looked at me as if I was going crazy.
"What are you talking about?" She questioned.
"Harry invited us to a party!"
We began to ready and Harry was going to pick us up. Just like that we were living the dream without living at all.
"Darlings, darlings you both look amazing" Harry said kissing Anne on her check and hugging me tightly.
"Why thank you, sweet lad" I curtsied then stepped into the car waiting for Anne to slide in next to me.
"Who's party is this?" Anne asked curiously.
"A friend of a friend of a very important friend" Harry flashed his pearly whites then winked at her.
"Who cares? I'm ready to let loose!" My adrenaline was taking over and there was a need for me to just forget what happened before all of this.
'Do you approve?' I asked teasingly.
'Oh fine why not' Kai said eagerly.
'Hell yeah! If Kai is down I am too' Liah giggled.
Sinking back into the car seat, I watched Harry and Anne talk. He kept looking at her through the mirror which made her blush immensely even though she tried to hide it from the both of us.
"Here we are" Harry said.
We stared at a house or basically a mansion. Like any typical party it was pulsating from the music and people were spilling out the doors.
"Let's go!" Anne said pulling us towards the scene.
The music flooded my brain making me go wild, I wasn't a party person but I needed this.
Dancing with Anne was the main goal but Harry seemed to have the same idea as me.
'They look so cute together' Kai gushed as we watched them sway together.
'Hopefully Anne doesn't get too drunk and forget this' Liah laughed.
I threw my head back in laughter beginning to sway to the beat. It was just me and the lyrics of the song.
