She had no idea what she had done
for people to hate her so,
She only wanted to be a part of the graves in rows.
She tried to drown her demons,
But her demons knew how to swim.
For they haunted her as thoughts in the daytime,
And turned into nightmares in the night.
She tried to fix broken people,
For she knew they could be repaired.
But once they were fixed and healed,
They would leave.
With each and every person that left,
She felt herself break.
Every night she would wake up screaming,
Without anyone noticing.
She felt so many emotions,
Yet she felt empty.
Sometimes she liked, even loved the numbness,
Sometimes she wanted to feel.
She was the person who was always there for everyone,
Even when they lied to her.
Even when they left her.
Now,
She was so scared of letting anyone in,
That she pushed people away and made them hate her.
In turn making it easier.
She wanted to be saved.
Yet,
She knew her demons wouldn't let her.
