started watching Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I've gotten a little obsessed with the plot lines and characters. So, here's a fun, long Loki imagine for you all loosely based off of season 3 (:

Loki let out a grunt as he landed flat on his back with a thud. Letting out a dark laugh, he looked up at the figure of Melinda May looming above him.

"I'm beginning to think you're purposely trying to inflict pain on me, Agent May."

May cracked a smile as he held out his hand for her to help him up. Instead of doing so, she made her way to the row of benches on the left side of the room, leaving him laying on the floor.

"I don't need past experience to show me that you can handle it." She replied after a few moments, sitting down on one of the benches to observe the god as he pulled himself to his feet.

"It's always the cold stone wall with you, isn't it?" Loki remarked, straightening out his black uniform. "Doesn't that get a little old?"

"You tell me." May clapped back. "Don't the tricks and lies get old?"

"I'm the god of mischief and lies." Loki grinned. "They never get old."

"Agent May." Phil Coulson's voice echoed off the walls of the training room as he entered alongside Daisy Johnson. "Loki."

"Hello sunshine." Loki teased Phil playfully. "Still not calling me Agent yet? I have to say, with all the work that I've been doing, the least you can do is give me the title."

"The title of Agent is something you must earn." Phil replied, his eyes narrowing. "You still have a lot of making up to do before I will even remotely think about promoting you as an agent."

"Are you still spiteful because I stabbed you?" Loki chuckled softly. "It was nothing personal."

"I'm reminded of it every day." Phil looked the god directly in the eye. "You killed me, Loki. So forgive me if I'm not jumping at the opportunity to make you one of my agents."

"Point taken." Loki replied, his eyes flickering with mischief.

"Phil, what's the update?" May cut in, drawing Coulson's attention back to the reason he had come in.

"Lincoln and Daisy found another inhuman in California." Phil replied, receiving May's uneasy look.

"She's giving off enormous energy waves." Daisy began, her eyes full of concern. "Both Lincoln and I could feel it. Not physically but... mentally."

"Could she be psychic?" May asked, turning to Coulson.

"That's what I was thinking." Phil nodded. "If she is, we have to get to her fast before she reads someone's mind and knows we're coming."

"If I may interject-" Loki paused, receiving a hateful glare from May.

"No you may not." She said flatly, her brown eyes narrowing as she looked at him.

"You're going to shut me up?" Loki smiled, amused. "What if I happened to have important information that might be useful to you achieving a successful operation?"

May and Coulson exchanged weary glances before Phil turned to the god.

"We'll listen, but it doesn't mean we'll agree to whatever idiotic plan you've concocted."

"That's rather harsh." Loki gave him an offended expression.

"Talk, Loki." May snapped.

"What I was going to say before Agent May so rudely interrupted me," Loki began with a sharp glance at May, "was that if this inhuman is a psychic, wouldn't it be useful to take someone familiar with that power field with you?"
