My eyes fluttered open, a soft yawn falling from my mouth as I arched my back in order to stretch the sleep away. Glancing down at my body, I noticed that I was still bare from the night before, smiling as I enjoyed the feeling of my skin against the silk sheets. Rolling over to look at the time, I noticed that it was past noon. Groaning slightly, I slid from the bed and slipped into the bathroom in order to shower.

Less than an hour later, I was dressed and fully freshened, ready to venture out of the palace. As I made my way outside, I smiled, observing the newly placed statue on the golden pedestal. I had always had a soft spot for it. I turned my attention back in front of me as I made my way towards the crowd that was growing to watch a play being put on by the king. When I approached, my eyes caught his, and he sent me a hidden smile. I grinned back, casually standing farther away from him, not to draw too much attention to myself. As the play continued, my eyes suddenly caught sight of a rather large figure passing into my view. Turning to see who it was, my eyes widened at the sight of Prince Thor making his way towards me. I quickly came back around, trying to come up with a plan of escape, but it was too late.

"Amora!" Thor greeted me with a giant hug. "It's great to see you!"

"And you as well." I replied quickly, attempting to stay calm and collected. "What brings you back to Asgard?"

"I've been journeying around the nine realms for so long that I thought it was time to come home." He spoke, his eyes following the actors on stage. "We're doing theatre now?"

"It appears so." I nodded. "The king loves it. I couldn't care less, but it does tell the story of my deceased lover, so I've let it slide."

"How are you doing? I know it's been a couple of years since Loki..."

"I'm managing. It's not like seeing Odin every day reminds me of everything awful that he did to Loki when he was alive. He wants me to remain in the palace, probably just to torture me I presume."

"I'm sorry." Thor's gaze fell to the ground. "It's cruel to keep you so close, having you stay in the palace, constantly reminding you of what you've lost."

"That's your father." I sighed, hoping he would buy my story. "I used to have so much respect for him, but he's nothing to me anymore."

He didn't respond, but rather turned his attention to the play that was ending in front of us. My gaze snapped back towards the king, trying desperately to catch his attention to warn him of Thor's homecoming, but to no avail, he didn't seem to notice me. I watched in tension as Thor neared Odin, waiting to see how everything would play out.

"Father." Thor spoke flatly, his eyes seeming curious but also somewhat suspicious.

Odin turned the second he heard Thor's voice, his eyes meeting mine and I almost laughed when he mouthed, "Oh shit."
