Part seven: it's good fish

Jungkook's P.O.V

She's a girl. She's a fucking girl. We've only been here for a few days and I so much had already happened. It's only been a few days that I don't hear millions of voices screaming my name. But rather my own voice screaming my name.

"Jungkook! Jungkook you like this guy as a friend. Jungkook he's actually quite beautiful. Jungkook you like this guy! Jungkook your gay! Jungkook your not gay she's girl! Jungkook she likes you! Jungkook you like her! Jungkook your holding her hand!" Were the words going through my mind for a few days.

Things were moving so fast. I'm not used to it and I don't know how to feel. It's all a Dream. I'm not stuck on an island falling in love with a girl that everyone else thinks is a guy. It's a dream.

But I can't wake up.

Is this what it would've been like if I had never joined Bts? You've I have already been married or something?

"There you love birds are," Jin said teasing as he turned the fish over he fire.

I made a face pretending to be bothered.

Y/n sat beside him and helped cook the fish. The others were scattered around the beach messing around. I walked over to Yoongi and Hoseok jumping around in the water. They were laughing as Hoseok asked "Where were you this morning?". They both were still smiling trying to stop laughing because of the fun they were having and watched me as I tried to give my explanation.

"I was exploring," I said trying to sound interesting.

"What did you find?" Yoongi said mimicking my voice.

"Trees and birds," I said laughing and walking into the water to join.

"We found water!" Hoseok said splashing water at me. I splashed back and I had fun for the first time in a while.

We messed around for a while until we got called over to eat.

I sat on the opposite side of y/n in order to avoid suspicion. We ate fish as usual and we all had a conversation. We cracked jokes, it was mostly Jin but y/n was also laughing along with him. I've never heard someone laugh as strangely as Jin but y/n was making some undiscovered noises. It was kinda cute to be honest. No one ever really laughs at Jin's jokes except for Jin but both of them laughing made the rest of us crack up and soon enough everyone was out of breath.

We stayed in conversation for a while even after we finished eating. We learned more about the Pilots and flight attendants.

"Whats your story?" Tae asked y/n.

She glanced over at me and I could feel her nerves transfer over to me. What if something slipped? They'd figure her out.

"Well, I was born in y/c but I learned Korean because my father knew the language and then I became a flight attendant and subbed for the lucky guy who got sick right before take off," she said quickly and then she hugged her knees.

"If Logan got sick right before takeoff how did you already have a whole suitcase packed?" Alex asked curiously.

It was quiet for a while and my heart was beating a hundred miles an hour.

"I'm a substitute flight attendant. I always have my stuff packed just in case. Part of my job," she said smiling with pride in her answer.

That's my girl!

He nodded and looked convinced.

"What do you like yo do? Like on your free time," Jimin asked.

She told us her passions and aspirations. If I didn't know already I would've suspected anything. She did really good at avoiding anything that could give her away. I learned a lot about her that I never really got to know.

"We should do something. People pay to go to islands, we have one but we're just sitting here," Yoongi said playing with sand with one hand.

"What should we do?" Namjoon asked.

"We a waterfall on the other side of the island when we were checking to see if it actually was an island," Jack said pointing  behind him, "We could check that out," he continued.

"Dope," Yoongi said standing up quickly.

We all followed Jake and Alex but y/n walked a bit behind with me.

"Is the waterfall near the secret kingdom?" She whispered

"No. Not as far as I know, we would've been able to see it," I whispered back.

We walked side by side for a while and she out of nowhere kissed me on the cheek, smiled then caught up with the rest. I smiled back and also ran to catch up.

"Wow," Jimin exclaimed when Alex moved some branches to reveal a beautiful, blue, waterfall. "Wow" Everyone after repeated..."Wow," I repeated. It was very similar to our secret kingdom, except the waterfall took up most of the empty space instead of a pond. Hoseok and Yoongi screamed in excitement and ran in without a second thought. Everyone else copied except for me and y/n. As much as I wanted too, I felt bad for y/n. While everyone else was wearing shorts (wether it be handmade or out of one of the suitcases) she was wearing sweatpants.

I just looked and smiled at everyone having fun.

"I'm sorry," y/n said looking at me with puppy eyes.

I just smiled back and whispered, "it's not your fault, id rather be with you anyway,".

"Are you guys coming in?" Tae said looking at us.

"No you guys just go ahead," I said trying to sound sincere.

"Come on," He said with a big smile motioning to join them.

"We're good Seriously," I said with a smile.

"Why not?" He said sounding desperate.

I looked at y/n and waited for her to answer.

"Because...sweatpants," she said nodding.

"Take them off," Tae said with a 'duh' tone and a smile.

I felt a little defensive at that comment and impulsively said "no!". Everyone stopped and looked at us.

"I mean, if he doesn't want to then he doesn't want to,"

She turned to me and smiled.

"Alright," Tae said going back to the fun.

Y/n and I sat with our feet in the water and observed, joining verbally a few times.

We went back to the cave and while some people ate, others just hung out drying themselves up. "Im going to bed," someone said, "me too," others repeated one by one. It was just me and y/n left. 

"It's good fish," she said awkwardly.

I nodded and smiled.
