Water.
I needed water at that time so I ran from the gym and into the halls. Nobody was around so I quickly drank from the water dispenser and took my bags from my locker when suddenly, I heard lots of footsteps coming from behind me.
"You deserve it, get it?!" A punch was thrown into my direction knocking me out in the process.
"You tramp! Trying to steal my boys, are you?!" The head cheerleader kicked my in the stomach making me curl in a corner.
I tried to ask for help but my mouth was swollen from all the punching and slapping so I just let them. This always happens to me every week.
They gave me another smash using a metal dustbin. It hit just underneath my neck so I was bloodied all over. My legs felt numb and so were my arms.
I looked like some poor ghost on a horror movie.
"Leave her there in the closet, she deserves this. She's smart anyway so she can easily get out if she wants."
Then I was shoved in a closet with only the dark to keep my company.
"I made my part of the dare. Now, let's go." Amanda said in her high-pitched voice.
It was a dare...
It WAS a dare...
It was a DARE.
Was it?
I woke up with the sun shining onto my face and a warm arm covering half of my body. I heard someone groan as I wiggled away from it's grasp.
Huh?!
"Clay?!" "Harley!" We both said in unison.
"Why are you here on my tent?!" I asked him in disbelief.
He shrugged for a while, scratching the back of his head. I sat down and so did he. I was itching to go outside but I couldn't do that yet because I'm still in my PJs.
Not to mention, Clay. I gotta talk to him now if I wouldn't want an awkward moment for the next few days.
"It was getting chilly when you passed out and I couldn't trust Troy to keep you.. ugh... warm. Yeah. So Savannah made me sleep beside you, I was far from you, I promise I didn't do anything or whatever." He defended.
Woah.
A stuttering Clay.
Wtf?!
I laughed leaving him with his mouth gaping open, totally oblivious to what I was laughing about.
"Did I do something funny? You seem crazy." He smirked.
"S-stuttering Clay!" I laughed again.
His brow furrowed as he tries to get the gist of what I was laughing at. Moments later, Savannah opened the tent door wider and yelled a 'Good Morning' for waking her up.
"Are you even high on crack?" Troy appeared, stroking his head. Must've been a hungover from all those beers from the other night.
I checked on my watch and found that it was already 9 o'clock. That's a loooong... nap.
"Who wants some bacon!" Savannah shouted. Moments later, the three of us were racing back to the campfire.
"Anyway, why'd you passed out, Hare?" Troy asked me.
"Does this have something to do with what happened during highschool?" Clay suggested.
"Whatever that is, you can tell us." Savannah nudged a shoulder beside me and enveloped me into a hug.
"You, guys..." I hugged each and everyone of them and continued on munching my bacon and eggs.
"We were just talking about a dare, you know? And then you instantly passed out and we didn't know what to do and -"
I didn't notice tears falling down my eyes until I tasted the salty liquid. I am such a drama queen.
The scenery is beautiful, I have my friends here with me and here I am, crying like a baby.
Savannah immediately came to my side and hugged me. I sobbed even harder kicking everything in front of me.
"You've got to tell us what's wrong, Harley. Or else we won't be leaving this place." Savannah threatened.
"It's okay. I should just stay here, you guys go on without me." I joked.
"No. Tell us."
"Maybe it's best if we won't force her to tell us." Clay suggested.
After an endless battering between Savannah and Clay, I yielded and told the three of them to sit down and let me tell my story.
"Remember Amanda during fourth grade, Clay?" I looked at him and he gave me a sign of recognition to the name. "Well, she gave me this." I showed him a scar that she hid underneath her ear.
Savannah left out gasp and Troy came to my left side and supported me as I leaned on him, urging me to continue.
"S-she ordered the cheerleader team to do this to me."
"And to think that I never trusted you, after that." Troy faced Clay, muttering an apology to his best friend.
"What are you talking about?"
"Well, after all that court hearing, I stopped being his friend because they started calling him dangerous. People wouldn't even want to get near him like they used to and everyone was blaming Clay. And then Amanda didn't care about the rumors and they started dating. Heck, they almost got married!" Troy explained, laughing.
"Ugh, really!?" Savannah exclaimed.
"Yeah, really!" Troy agreed.
Savanah slapped him on the shoulders, reminding him that we're discussing about a depressing situation.
"Sorry."
"So where do we find this b*tch?" Savannah asked. She was shaking and her knuckles were turning white.
"W-why?"
"We're gonna have to do a little payback after what she did to you, seriously!" She said. "I won't be around for a few months again so let me be a friend to you even for this week, got it?"
"Let me in on that." Clay said. His face looked serious. The dangerous kind. Maybe I wasn't the only one who had it bad back then. He was involved in it as much as I was.
"Me, too!" Troy raised his hand waving it like a first grader.
"You're not the only one who has a scar..." Savannah said.
Three pairs of eyes looked at me. Not wanting to be left out, I stood up and joined in saying "I guess, me three?"
