It had been three weeks prior to Roman's disappearance, and people all over Remnant were in high spirits as the infamous criminal and thief had finally been captured. In Reach, people were celebrating the capture as several people were partying in the streets or the diners. In the military base, the cafeterias were filled with celebrating Marines, ODSTs, and Spartans. However, one person wasn't there for the festivities in Reach as he was currently getting his armor upgraded to the latest version. As he waited, his new AI popped up next to him. They were known as Thomas. He was a light purple with the standard Mark VI look.

They were having small chat as the new armor was fitted to match his body type.
Thomas: I still don't get why you choose to stay a secret from the world, wouldn't it be better to make contact with one of the kingdoms?
Jaune: That's the thing, Thomas, if we make contact with one, then others will find out who we are, where we are, and most likely try to take our tech for themselves. We can't let that happen as it would eventually end up in the wrong hands and that would be chaos, panic would spread, and civilians would be caught in the crossfire.
Thomas: Oh, that's a good point...
Jaune: I know it's tough, but we have to do this to protect them.
Thomas: On a follow up question, if you did make contact with one, who would you choose to make contact with first?
Jaune: Either the Menagerie or Vale, I know people in both that are trustworthy. They'd keep our secret of who and where we are.
After a small amount of time, the new armor was finally fitted and equipped.

As he was set down, he stretched his limbs out a bit to get a good feel of the new armor.
Jaune: Well, it's definitely lighter than my older set. A lot tougher, too.
Thomas: We still need to go over a few diagnostic checks before we can be fully checked out.
