CALYPSO

During Free Period
I angrily wiped off the cream from my face and hair with a paper towel, which scratched my skin. I pouted.
"Are you okay, Calypso. Need any more paper towels?" Anna asked, holding out a handful of paper towels.
I scowled, then saw Percy's curious glance. "Thanks," I fake smiled as I grabbed the towels.
"Phew!" Percy said. "What a relief!"
"What?" Anna and I said at the same time. Ugh.
"You guys are getting along! It's a dream come true!" He smiled and draped his arm across my shoulders and kissed the top of my head.
I blushed. "What do you mean?"
He raised an eyebrow as he sat down on a bench. "You're...uh..." He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "Very jealous when it comes to girls."
"No I'm not!"
"Yes you are!"
"Not!"
"Are!"
"Awww," Anna cooed. "How cute."
Percy stuck his tongue out, meaning I win, ha!
"But this time is different. I remember that one time one girl said her perfume is better than yours and you sprayed perfume in her eyes. And when there was this girl selling lemonade at the next neighborhood when we were younger, while you were selling lemonade too, you tripped her and broke her toe. Then another time..."
I covered his mouth. "Okay, okay. I get it."
He smiled and sat at a bench near some trees.
"So, how'd you guys met? Seaweed Brain never told me how? Only that you're an awesome girlfriend." Anna asked as she chewed on lemon bread.
"Seaweed Brain?"
"That's what I call Perce here, since we were 6. One time we went to the beach together and afterwards, he started complaining of his ear hurting. Sally found a piece of seaweed in there," she paused and smiled at the memory. "Plus, the name matches him, he's not so bright."
Seaweed Brain. Odd, as a couple, we don't have nicknames for each other.
Sure, he's called me Callie, and me to him Perce. But we never made up unique nicknames for each other.
I frowned, and turned to see Percy laughing with Anna. Their shoulders slightly touching, his hands around her shoulders.
I growled.
The bell rang, interrupting their laughter. I didn't wait, couldn't. So I stormed off.
And they didn't realize, didn't call for me. He didn't realize.
I angrily wiped off upcoming tears.
