Prologue

"stella... hey stella wake up" i grumble in annoyance as Dani tries to wake me up. "whaaaaaaat" i groan. "come on i heard there's a dead body in the woods" "were you ease dropping on my mom's radio again" "yes" "why" "she's a cop and there's nothing better to do since your asleep and we start school tomorrow and i have no friends" "HEY" "oh shut up you know what i mean, now come on" "what about mom" "again i say she's a cop, she's not even here to tell us no and she already left out 20 minutes ago handle a store robbery" "geez you really were ease dropping, but how are we gonna get there" "i may or may not have swiped the keys to the jeep" she says as she innocently reveals the keys to my mom's jeep swaying them back and forth. "now come on lets go" "fine but i'm bringing the bat there's too many creeps in this town" "don't tell me your still freaked out from the so called hot guy you keep seeing watch you" "i did see him... AND I NEVER SAID HE WAS HOT" " whatever just come one before your mom gets back"

*in the woods*

"ah shit i don't know about this" Dani says suddenly feeling unsure. "oh no your not doing this again, as mush as i would love and i do mean Love to go back home and sleep in my bed, we're going because the fact of knowing there's a 99.9% chance that you might piss your pants from the sight of that body will make missing out on a life time of sleep worth it" she huffs and starts walking ahead "besides your the one always bitching about how nothing happens in this town" i say as i toss her a flashlight. we walk for about ten minutes when it hits me "what kind os body are we even looking for" "it's half a body" "HALF" "yes half and it's a girl" "fine if it's half which half of the body are we looking for" "i uh... gosh i really don't know" "what if the person who killed the body is still out here" "HEY... you don't know if it was murder" "and neither do you" "eh good point, come on let's go i think we're close" "come on lets take a break real quick" i say as i stop to use my inhaler" "GET DOWN" Dani yells at me pushing me down on the ground "what the fuck Dani" "Shhhhhhhh look" we look to see a few police officers with flashlights looking around. Dani starts crawling the other way "come on stella" she whispers as she slowly gets up and starts bolting. i follow behind barley catching up "HEY YOU STOP RIGHT THERE" I hear behind me still following the sound of Dani's huffing and the sound of leaves crunching on the ground as we run down the hills. "DANI WAIT UP" i try to yell but i trip and go tumbling down the remainder of the hill "STELLA" is the last thing i hear before i'm dragged off behind a tree. "stella... stella look at me are you okay" "y-yeah Dani i'm fine" "alright stay right here while i get the flashlight. next thing i know i hear dogs barking and Dani shrieking "HEY HEY HEEEEY, calm down this little delinquent belongs to me" i immediately duck and hide between the trees. "hey Ms.Stikins" "have you been listening in on my calls again" "no what heh heh, well not the boring ones" "mhmm now where's your partner in crime" "you mean robin" "no batman i mean my daughter" "oh stella, yeah stella's home it's just me... in the woods... alone" "STELLA YOU OUT THERE... STELLA" "I'm telling you it's just me" "alright then young lady, i'm gonna drive you back to the house and when my shifts over you and i are gonna have a little chat about privacy". i finally let out the breath i didn't even realize i was holding as i hear the foot steps of my mom and Dani fading away.

i start heading back to the car hoping to make it home before my mother. i'm scared shitless right now with the sound of ravens clogging my hears, the wind whistling through the trees, the sound of only steps hitting the leaves and my heavy breathing singing in the wind. i stop when i think i've heard something "hello... is someone out there" i take out my inhaler when i hear the sound of many running feet i look to see a hard of deer running right for me. I trip back on a branch and lose my inhaler in the process, cradling myself in a ball hoping for the stampede to end wit me alive. thankfully the deer have left and i have not one scratch. i get up from my ball position and try to look for my inhaler. i find one of my flashlights and try to continue my search and the minute i turn it on i find the most disturbing terrifying thing you could ever find in the woods. i found the body. i shriek in fear and lose my balance from shock soon falling over once again. i quickly scramble to get up and check my surroundings. it's quiet and creepier than usual until i hear a small growling sound. i try to run but soon i am i attacked by some sort of wolf like animal. as i fight for my life i grab a big branch and the flashlight that i already dropped off the ground as the creature drags me in. i hit the creature over the head multiple times with the branch and flashlight until it wields over in pain grading it's head.i take that as my chance to run like i never did before. i finally make it to the car and drive off as fast as i can.

Before i went home i stopped to fill the tank so my mom wouldn't notice. as i take out the pump i see a huge red stain on the side of my shirt. i lift it to reveal a big bite mark on my side, larger than any animal bite i've ever seen. what's weird is that it doesn't even hurt. i go into the gas station store and get some bandages and head home. i sneak in through my window and quickly take my pajamas into the bathroom. i quickly clean and patch up the bite wound then change my clothes and head towards the bed. hopefully tomorrow will be better. oh who am i kidding any minute have have right now will be tier than what i had just experienced in those woods.
