My eyes crinkled up as I brought an arm up, shielding it from the sun so I don't go blind.
I covered my mouth with my hand, sensing a yawn coming. I glanced at my best friend, who was carelessly eating chips dropping crumbs onto the table in front of her.
Her bouncy curls were sitting neatly on her shoulders, radiating gold every time the sun shone on it. Her tan skin popped out even more against the white sweater that she was wearing, along with ripped jeans and some slippers.
She glanced at me, handing me the bag of chips as I shook my head telling her I didn't want any. She sets the chips down as she looks at the environment behind her, then turned to me.
"How'd you know I was here?" She said looking at me with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes while giving her a deadpanned look, "I've known you since elementary school, Leia."
She started to laugh loudly as I felt the urge to laugh as well, she came over to my seat and threw an arm over my shoulder. She rested her head on my shoulder as she stared at the green in front of us.
"You know even though you're passing your classes, you still have to come?"
I told her the same thing I've been telling her since high school started. She gave me a look as she shooed me away with her hands, earning a glare from me.
"It's just so boring! You know it, I rather spend time to myself looking at nature." She
gestured towards the front of us as I sighed."I know, but they said if you just don't come you won't graduate!" I smacked her arm hardly as she yelled out a curse word.
She mutters a 'yeah, yeah' as she jumped up from the seat, nearly dragging me with her. I shot her a glare as she smiled innocently.
"Are you hungry? I am, let's go eat at that new place?" She pondered to herself, tapping her foot onto the grassy floor.
I nodded as I stared at the horizon, this is so beautiful and relaxing. Feeling the breeze hit my bare skin slightly as the smell of fresh grass refreshed my nose from the smell of polluted air.
Taking my phone out, I quickly snapped a few pictures of the scenery. I threw my bag over my shoulder as I followed Leia, who was already walking towards my car.

Thanking the waitress in front of us, she handed us the menus before disappearing. Glancing around the restaurant, it was empty which was what I was expecting.
Looking at her again, she was practically bouncing out of her seat as she looked at the menu in awe. I looked down at the simple blue menu and glanced over the options. We've never been here, it was like a cafe and burger place in one.
My eyes spotted a combo which had 'Spicy chicken steak on a baguette, curly fries and an iced drink.'
Oh that sounds so good, I love spicy things.
After a few minutes of Leia deciding what we wanted, the waitress came over and asked for our order. Leia was dictating our order to the girl as something behind her caught my eye, I moved my body a little and spotted the same guy who I saw in the shop.
His eyes met mine as recognition flashed in his eyes, he gave me a smile and wave as I waved. I was kind of impressed he recognized who I was.
Come to think of it, I've never seen him in my neighborhood before.
Maybe he just moved here?
I'm sure I would've seen him if he bought supplies so often, after all I work almost everyday.
Turning back to Leia, a grin appears on her face as she watches me. I raised an eyebrow at her, and shot her a look, which caused her to start laughing.
"So, how are you and Stephanie?" She lets out a loud laugh, earning a few awkward stares from the staff.
I rolled my eyes while a laugh started to escape from my throat, that was her nickname for Stephen.
"We're good! Actually, we're planning on going to go to some food festival soon-." As soon as I said food, I was cut off by her.
She nearly shouts as she says these words, I'm not even joking.
"I WANT TO COME! I AM coming, thanks for taking me!" She smiles evilly as she throws her hair behind her shoulder, taking a sip of her water.
I sighed while rolling my eyes, as soon as food is involved this girl HAS to come she's annoying but she's my best friend and I love her with all my heart.
"Okay fine. You're buying me dessert!" I stuck my tongue out at her as she nodded happily.
"Deal." She said as she gave me a pinky promise, while I wrapped my pinky around it as well.
