He’s finally safe and that’s all that matters. I can’t imagine being controlled by a fake shadow for a long time and being fed with lies that whole time. He’s a strong willed kid, it’s a good thing he’s stronger than that blasted shadow that took over him. The Orphan, commonly known now as the demon Leviathan or the Envious, he takes over the bodies of those children who are strong and would be weakened and consumed if he wants too. We’ve been searching far too long for that one demon that we forgot about the six more. There are seven demons in total, which are all related to somewhat the seven deadly sins: The Luxuria, the demon Asmodeus, The Avaritia, the demon Mammon, The Gula, the demon Beelzebub, The Ira, the demon Aamon, the Acedia, the demon Belphegor, the Invidia, the demon Leviathan, and lastly, the Superbia, or the demon Lucifer.

The demons are said to be shadows that were strong from the very start and chose to live their lives as their own conjurer. So as they grow tired of following their weak conjurer, they ate their own conjurers so they can stay in their shadow form without being summoned. Some of them are quite troublesome in the underworld now; we managed to find out that this isn’t at all hell but just a part. They search for strong kids that they can take over to be their new conjurer if the fit they would be chosen, if not they would be eaten up to serve as an addition to their ever stronger capabilities. The Invidia, being the most strongest of them all can easily take over any child whenever he pleases. His talent shows his envy for others in so many ways, if he ever latches on a child, that child would also receive his talent and would be the same talent even if he leaves them.

Most of the demons are in hiding since there is a large bounty on each one of them. Our goal now is to get rid of every demon that is in the underworld so that children would be safe from harm. Only problem now is how do we get Harvey moving again?  Since he lost his “shadow” he’s not responding to anyone that calls on him. We’ve went back to our station to find out how we can cheer up our friend. We do have someone for him, but I don’t know if he would accept him. We naturally have our shadows born with us; Harvey on the other hand didn’t have one because his shadow left him to do some errands. Dante, or Danny, told me that he and Harvey’s shadow helped each other to clear of the dead bodies of their parents. He said that the shadow desperately wanted to go back into Harvey but he was too late for Invidia already took over Harvey’s body and took off.

Dante managed to keep Harvey’s shadow safe from disappearing by having the Timekeeper consume a child. It was against his will but if he has to stay for longer he had to do it. Back at our quarters, we sat Harvey down and I asked Dante if he could bring out Harvey’s true shadow. Dante nodded and got out of the room.

“Are you alright Harvey? Are you hungry? There’s a really good food stall here. I can get you-“

“I’m not Hungry..”

“But you haven’t eaten yet and you-“

“I said I’m not hungry.

I guess anyone who was fooled by Invidia would also be at lost. Thinking he was yours till he betrays you. Dante walks back in with a black figure behind him. The Timekeeper.

“Sorry for keeping you waiting, he wasn’t sure about, you know, seeing him like this.”

“Timekeeper, would you be so kind to come nearer please. I want Harvey to see you. I want your conjurer to know you’re here”

That seems to get his attention, Harvey sat upright and looked straight to where the Timekeeper was. I guess hearing that he was the Timekeepers conjurer really makes him perky, but suddenly I feel a tensed aura in the room. The Timekeeper, he doesn’t want his owner.

You want me to match with, well, him?

“Well yeah, that’s what we want to achieve here. He’s your true owner remember?”

He left when I needed him. Why do I need him now?

As I thought, being away from his owner far too long made him wonder if he really needs an owner. He’s strong I give him that, but the kid inside him can’t be there always. He needs to eat and be alive. I can see the rejection in Hervey’s face, poor kid.

“I don’t know what my shadow really looks like or who my true shadow is, but I feel some connection with you. If you don’t feel like being my shadow yet then take your time, but I would wait for you even if it takes my lifetime.”

Then wait, I waited very long for you. The least you can do is wait as long as me.

Four years, poor kid has to wait for four more years before his shadow accepts him back. The Timekeeper walks back but then suddenly Harvey stood up.

“Wait! If it’s not of any harm to you, can I say thank you?”

For what?

“You saved me and my brother, maybe even my father and mother, but I don’t know. I still want to thank you.”

He walks closer to the Timekeeper and hugs him.

“Thank you”

The Timekeeper hesitates. He wants to touch his conjurer, it’s in every shadows instinct to feel the presence of their conjurer but at that close he’s suffocating to feel his conjurer again. He pushes Harvey back and walks out the station.

“I guess he doesn’t want me now, but at least I can have him back in time”

This kid is smiling. He’s smiling and hopeful that he’s going to get his shadow back. If it takes time then so be it, but I will try with all I can to help out this kid. He needs his shadow and we need them both. The demons aren’t getting any restless and so are their conjurers. We also need reinforcement to deal with strong opponents. We’re classified as the seven heavenly virtues and Harvey doesn’t know it yet. I’m regarded to be modest to others and I give respect to others so I’m known to have the trait of Humility and my shadow is Humilitas. Dante is the one with constant mindfulness of others so he’s regarded as temperance and his shadow is Temperantia. Lastly, Harvey has this trait where he tries to think of possible ways to resolve conflict with which he is Patience and his shadow, the Timekeeper, is Patientia. We already have three of the heavenly virtues only four left which we haven’t found yet. We only need to know where we can find the remaining virtues.

 

 

AU: Will the Timekeeper ever take back Harvey and help the others find the remaining virtues or will they have to stay the same, a one sided relationship where owner and shadow are on conflict. Some of the words used are just translated into latin for more intense reading purposes.
