We watched as the men readied for battle. The looks in their eyes was clear. They were scared. Luth sighed and walked between them helping them up with weapon choices.
"Then I shall die as one of them!" Aragorn said with a raised voice at Legolas making everyone look at them. He then stormed away from the armoury. Luth met Legolas' eyes with a frown and he averted his eyes. So she looked at Gimli who shook his head.
A while later, Aragorn returned to the armoury putting on his chain mail shirt and readying himself for battle. Legolas walked over to him handing him the sword.
"We have trusted you this far. You have not lead us astray. Forgive me. I was wrong to despair." Legolas said apologetically.
"There is nothing to forgive, Legolas" Aragorn said placing a hand to Legolas' shoulder and Legolas did the same.
"We bad time, I'd get this adjusted. It's a little tight across the chest." Gimli complained releasing the chain mail shirt for it to hit the ground. A giggle made the three turn toward Luth who stood in another corner of the room. She had her armour on.
(Luth's armour)
"Luth, are you sure you are fighting?" Aragorn asked.
"Yes and that's final" she said. The sound of a horn cut off his reply.
"That is no Orcs horn." Legolas said running out and they followed after him to see a platoon of Elves clad in robes.
".... An alliance once existed between Elves and Men. Long ago we fought and died together. We come to honor that allegiance." Haldir said meeting Aragorn's eyes at the end.
"Mae govanen, Haldir" Aragorn said before hugging the Elf who hugged back with a smile, "you are most welcome." He said.
"We are proud to fight alongside Men once more." Haldir told Theoden.
After assuming their posts Luth sat on one of the rocks on top of the outer wall watching the Orcs army approach. Legolas and Gimli stood behind her.
"You could have picked a better spot" Gimli grumbled. Aragorn walked over to them and stood next to Legolas. "Well, lad, whatever luck you live by let's hope it lasts the night." He told Aragorn.
"Your friends are with you, Aragorn." Legolas said.
"Let's hope they last the night." Gimli said.
"We have your back, Aragorn" Luth said looking back at him. He smiled patted Legolas' shoulder before walking away between the Elves. Rain began falling as the Orcs continued their march before stopping in front if the of Helm's Deep.
An arrow flew from their side started the war. Volleys of arrows flew killing Orcs , Elves and Men alike. Luth ran kicking two stairs that Orcs leaned on the wall then pulled her sword killing them one after another. She had Thorin's sword mastery, Fili's agility and Kili's speed. She noticed Orcs with shields making way to the gate.
"Aragorn, I am on it" she shouted leaping toward the gate shifting to her Wolf form as she did. She ran through them knocking them down and breaking their Battering ram. Sge ripped Orcs left and right stopping them from breaking the gate but they managed to explode the walls on one side.
"Aragorn! Fall back to the keep" Theoden called.
"Fall back! To the keep." Aragorn shouted.
Luth continued ripping them apart when Aragorn and Gimli joined her and started killing them right and left with her.
"Gimli! Aragorn! Luth! Get out of there" Theoden shouted. She looked at him for a while before taking hold of the two taking a huge leap to land on top of the wall.
"Fall back! Fall back! To the keep!" Theoden ordered and they made it in barricading the doors.
"The fortress is taken. It is over." Theoden said.
"You said this fortress will never fall while your men defended it. They still defend it. They have died defending it." Aragorn said. "Is there no other way for the women and children to get out of the caves?" He asked then noticed the look on Theoden's face, "Is there no other way?" He asked again.
"There is one passage. It leads into the mountains. But they will not get far. The Uruk-hai are too many." The man said.
"Send word for the women and children to make for the mountain pass. And barricade the entrance" Aragorn said.
"So much death. What can men do against such a reckless hate?" Theoden asked.
"Ride out with me. Ride out and meet them." Aragorn said.
"For death and glory" Theoden said.
"For Rohan. For your people." Aragorn said walking toward the king.
"The sun is rising." Gimli said making Aragorn look at it for a while then turn to Theoden.
"Yes. Yes. The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the Deep one last time" Theoden said.
"Yes!" Gimli shouted happily.
"Let this be the hour when we draw our swords together." Theoden said to Aragorn.
The Men got on their horses as Luth's wolf stood next to them. She met Aragorn's eyes then Legolas' before nodding her head.
"Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin and a red dawn." Theoden said wearing his helmet as the horn sounded through the Deep. The Orcs broke through the gate and got into the keep. "Forth Eorlingas!" Theoden shouted riding forward. They killed Orcs right and left all while Gimli continued blowing the horn.
As if by cue Gandalf showed back again with the Rohirrim behind him. They joined the battle thus gaining victory.
"Victory! We have victory!" Theoden shouted as the remaining orcs ran away from the battle ground.
