Repuli shook my hand and walked away.
You can control the weather.
His words. Those words. What do they mean? My dad looked at me with a weird thinking face.
"You look like you didn't realize this. I guess I should probably explain to you about the Constellation Survivors."
"Constellation Survivors?" I asked my father.
My father looked over at Deagen and Fletcher.
"We should all go into a private room where I can explain to you guys about what's going on."He brought us to a room labeled, "Orion Privacy." He opened the door and the entire inside was so beautiful. The walls were covered in pictures of my mother with my father. They looked so happy together. I wanted to know so badly, what went wrong. One of the pictures was of them holding a cute little baby with bright blue eyes, dressed in a white shirt, and black pants. He had little white boots and wore a blue cap with a puppy face on it.
"That baby right there was you. I think you were about seven months old. Man, I really wish I could go back and make it right. You grew up without a father, and I am so sorry for that," my father said with glistening eyes.
"It's okay, Dad. What matters most is that you're here for me now."
"You sure?"
"Positive," I said with a smile.
"Okay. Sit down on the couch over there, and we can talk about what's going on."
We walked over to a black couch next to a nice, glass coffee table and sat down. My father sat on the couch across from us. I've never experienced such nice furniture. It felt like I was sitting in the heavens above the clouds. It really relaxed my body.
"Alright, so I think it's time to tell you guys what's up."
He looked at us with a completely serious face. I knew right there and then, what he was about to say is no lie.
"When Doomsday arrived, there was no doubt in our minds that the world as we knew it, was gone. We had to make a fresh start from what we had. Some scientists ran some tests trying to create a cure. One of them messed up badly and during the test to see if it would work, he poured his potion into a liquid during a storm. Lightning hit it and absorbed it. The power of the potion went up into the clouds. Five bursts of lightning came out right after and supposedly gave certain powers to the children of the constellations. The strongest of the powers is the one that allows the complete control over the weather. The people that have the powers are the children that have the last names of constellations. Flake, you are the child of the Orion constellation family and have the power of the weather. You can control the natural disasters. You can do anything with the power of the storm. That's why people call you, 'Storm Bringer.' You are one of the most feared men in the entire world. Not a lot of people want to get in your way because they know what you can do."
"I don't even know what I can do. I've never changed the weather before, and I bet I can't now."
"That's because you don't know how to do it yet. I will teach you how to live up to your name."
"When?"
"Right now."
My father got up and took us over to a door labeled, "Weather Training." I wonder if that means that my father knew this day would come. Well, turns out he did, and I know that because when we walked into the room, it was full of real, beautiful, green grass. The sun was right above our heads and shining bright in the sky. There were no clouds anywhere that I could see. I've never seen such a beautiful scenery.
