My Only Sunshine (Tord X Reader songshot)

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.

I leaned against Tord. "You're the only one for me, no one else. I promise." I whispered. He kissed my temple. "Alright sweetheart." He whispered back. I smiled. "You're the greatest thing that's ever happened to me." I said. "And you as well." He said back.

You make me happy when skies are grey.

I screamed in a mix of anger, fear, and sadness. Tord ran into my room. "What's wrong?" He asked hurriedly, running over to the bed to see if I was okay. "He-He... he betrayed us a-and.." I sobbed again, nearly screaming. He hugged me and wrapped a blanket around us. "It was just a nightmare... it'll be okay." He whispered. I leaned into his warm touch. "Yeah... just a nightmare." His arms wrapped around me and I fell asleep in his embrace.

You'll never know dear, how much I love you.

"You know I love you right?" I asked. Tord looked over at me. "Of course. And I love you too." He responded. "I know but... I love you too much to put into words." I sighed. He smiled. "Like, you'll never properly know how much I actually love you. I can't even describe it." He looked into my eyes. "And I as well. I don't think any words other than 'oh dear god' could describe us." I laughed at his statement.

Please don't take my sunshine away.

I hugged him close to my chest and let out a choked sob. "Please don't leave me here alone...." he looked at me with the most pained look in his eyes. "I'm so sorry..." he whispered. With that, he went limp in my arms. I let out an earsplitting scream of mixed emotions. Rage, fear, sadness.... The most important thing to me was gone. Nothing mattered anymore.

The other night dear, when I was sleeping, I dreamt I held you in my arms.

That night I had a dream he was still with me. We were in a field of grass looking at the sunset together. "Tord.. I love you so much. I'm so sorry." I whispered. He just hugged me. "It's alright, my love. Just know I'll always be with you here." He said.

When I awoke dear, I was mistaken.

I sat up quickly in bed. "J-just a dream... it's all just a Dream."

So I hung my head and cried.

I let out a pained sob and held the picture of me and Tord close. "Soon.." I whispered. Then, I pulled the trigger.
