The next day after having breakfast, Ryder walked down to check on the fences, he was afraid that a creeper might have blown up part of it or something, but to his relief he saw none. No damage to the fences or missing parts. When Ryder walked into Main street, he saw at least two endermen just wandering about. Ryder then remembered that endermen can just teleport anywhere and that includes inside their fences. As he was thinking about this, an enderman looked up at Ryder. Ryder realized his mistake, but it was too late. The enderman had been enraged.
The enderman teleported at him with such speed that Ryder was not prepared for, luckily, he ducked out of instinct which saved him from the attack the enderman did. As Ryder stood up, he heard the enderman cry out in pain, as Ryder turned to face the creature, he saw that Marshall had already gotten his water cannon out and had started spraying water at it. The enderman, now realizing that he was going to expire soon, teleported out of the battle and into the woods. The remaining enderman that stood didn't seem to care about them because he hadn't been enraged.
Marshall: Ryder! Are you okay?
Ryder: I'm fine, thanks to you.
Marshall: The enderman can still teleport in here.
Ryder: Your right. We have to do something.
Marshall: Like?
Ryder: I not too sure myself.
Marshall: Maybe we could build some defenses. Like maybe a... a....
Ryder: Defenses? That's it!
Marshall: Huh?
Ryder: I know where we can find some of those things that we need.
Marshall: Where?
Ryder: Caves.
Marshall: Rubble is not going to like this...
Ryder: I know, but we need all paws on deck for this one.
Marshall: Okay, so we're going into the cave to find what exactly?
Ryder: Mainly iron ore. Others might be useful too.
Marshall: Okay... what do they look like?
Ryder: Their a stone with pale yellow specks all over it.
Marshall: Got it. Anything else that we need?
Ryder: Hmm.... If we can find Redstone, then that will be useful.
Marshall: How do we do that?
Ryder: Leave the Redstone to me and Jake. You pups just focus on the iron.
Marshall: Alright.
Ryder gathered all the pups again and explained what they were going to do next.
Ryder: Now the next part I'm going to tell you is very important.
Chase: All are listening Ryder.
Ryder: The caves are very dangerous, so make sure that you have at least a stone sword with you...
Rocky: But Ryder, even if we did, how are we going to use it?
Ryder: Simple, you just swing it at the monsters....
Rocky: Not how to use it, but how are we going to hold it?
Ryder: I actually haven't thought about that. Any ideas?
Jake: Maybe you can create some special claw or pincer for each of the pups so that they can hold things with it.
Ryder: Good idea Jake! But that will take quite a while.
Jake: Any other ideas?
Chase: How about we just go in pairs so that one can mine while the other keeps watch.
Ryder: That seems to be the best idea now.
Chase: Let's do this.
Ryder: Pups, it's time to mine.
The pups split up into teams, Chase with Skye, Zuma with Rocky and Marshall, Everest, and Rubble. Since there was an odd number of pups. The pups had a way to use the pickaxe, which was to simply use their mouth to hold it and hit the target. This is fine for mining, but definitely not for fighting. While the pups each took different caves, they stayed close to the surface as they didn't want to accidentally uncover the dark secrets they lay in the deeper parts. Ryder and Jake were both able to wield a sword and thus went in teams into the deeper areas.
Hope you guys enjoy. I'll see yall in the next one. :)
