Exploring the caves was both interesting and a little frightening. The pups were staying close to the surface where they can keep a good view of the entrance point and where they can easily get out off. They managed to indeed find some iron ore laying around close to the surface, but it was not enough. They knew that they had to go deeper in order to find the majority. Chase had his light with him, so he and Skye went down deeper first. It was fine when they went down, and no monsters were in sight. Skye spotted a cluster of iron ore around a corner and told Chase to watch her back. As she was mining, Chase's light caught sight of a creeper down the far end of a small hallway. The creeper hadn't seen them yet, but eventually it will.
Chase: Ummm Skye?
Skye: Yea?
Chase: Are you finished yet?
Skye: Almost.
Chase: Please hurry.
Skye: What did you see?
Chase: There's a creeper. Down the far end of this hallway.
Skye: Has it seen us?
Chase: Not yet.
Skye: I'm almost done, just keep watch.
Skye only had two more blocks of iron ore to mine and she was trying her best to do it as fast as possible. Chase was constantly watching the creeper and making sure that it hadn't spotted them. He also took caution to not shine his light at the creeper as it would alert it to their position.
Skye: Done.
Chase: Okay let's get out of here.
Once Chase and Skye were back at Main Street, they saw Marshall, Everest and Rubble running away from something.
Chase: Guys! Are you okay?
Marshall: There's a skeleton chasing us!
Skye: You mean those two bones laying over there with two arrows and five glowing orbs?
Everest: Huh? Oh, it must have burnt.
Rubble: Now I just feel that we've been running for the past three minutes for nothing.
This drew a good laugh from the pups that were there.
Chase: Quick, let's go and get the drops before they despawn.
Skye: Good idea.
They gathered the drops from the skeleton and moved back to City Hall. They then counted the iron ore that they had and found out that they had sixty-four in total. Forty from Chase and Skye, and twenty-four from Marshall, Everest, and Rubble. They decided to wait for the rest to arrive before they take any action.
In about thirty more minutes, the rest of the pup teams were back and they all gathered to discuss what their next move was going to be.
Chase: Now what?
Skye: We should properly gather more resources.
Rocky: What do you think Ryder? ... Ryder?
Everest: Ryder and Jake are still in the caves!
Rubble: Is that bad?
Zuma: I hope not.
Chase: Which cave did they go in?
Marshall: Not sure.
Skye: I sure hope that they are all right.
