Ling Ling hurriedly got dressed as she woke up, her own maidservant helped her taking the extra time to make her mistress pretty this morning. She's been living in the spirit world for over five years now and this day marked the fifth year Junjie had first kissed her, so that marked their anniversary as well.

Of course, Junjie wasn't aware of the anniversary until Ling Ling reminded him after a week later and kept reminding him weekly, that turned into monthly, then every year.

Junjie didn't mind her enthusiasm. Better her keep up with all the dates than him. He's a prince with an entire spirit kingdom to look after, he already has a lot on his plate.

She hurled herself to the halls, feet slamming blithely as she searched for him.

Junjie smiled as he saw her coming, he can spot and track Ling Ling's scent anywhere no matter how far away she is these days.

He stood by the courtyard, breakfast ready for him and her. He looked just the same, without ever aging.

Junjie wore a striking teal robe accented with silver trimmings to compliment his electric blue eyes and metallic hair.

Just seeing him put a precious smile on her face.

Junjie looked at her, his smile widening, Ling Ling acted as though she hadn't matured a single year at all.

She still acted carefree, without regards to his rank as a prince, but Junjie cared no longer. She is his princess and she is entitled to treat him anyway she wanted.

Ling Ling was like a ten year old child running excitedly toward him.

She leaped without ever thinking, just trusting Junjie to catch her and he did.

This is something she did almost every time she sees him. And it is something he had expected, extending his arms instinctively.

"I see, someone is as happy as a puppy this morning." Junjie remarked as he caught her in his arms and spun her widely pulling her to his chest afterward.

Junjie squeezed her into his embrace. Blue eyes stared deeply into her hazel ones, he planted the sweetest kiss on her cheek.

"Marry me, Junjie!" Ling Ling groaned happily. "It's been five years."

"Oh, has it been that long?"

Five years felt like a week to him. At over two hundred years old, it felt like days and nights are a blur. Junjie can still remember the day Ling Ling showed up from nowhere with his bracelet. How memorable that entire day was…

He picked up her wrist, brushing his thumb lightly on the bracelet. It made its home with Ling Ling now. It even shone and changed colors agreeing with her mood. Red when she's mad, blue when she's sad, black when she felt darkness, and yellow when she's happy.

It seemed to permanent reside at yellow as it showed yellow right now, and almost every time Junjie look at it.
