Im so sorry I'm really having trouble coming up with stuff! Hope you like it anyways!
Keith was somehow fast asleep by midnight for once. He didn't know how or why, considering how much time he was wasting sleeping, but he was for once. That was until he woke up at 1 in the morning to the sound he had long forgotten. It was a piano. He didn't know they had a piano on the ship, what would be the use of it?
He got up, already dressed in his grey t-shirt and black pants, and grabbed his bayard just in case. He moved through the dark halls in a battle stance, in case of a sneak attack. As he did so, he listened to the song echoing through the long corridors in an almost ominous demeanor.
He could hear the music becoming louder as he turned more corners. Eventually, he got to the ball room. He hadn't noticed before, but there was a piano at the top of the long staircase, but there was someone on the chair.
The figure hadn't noticed Keith sneaking up behind him, too immersed in the piano to. Keith activated his bayard if he needed to use it. He approached the figure and tapped its shoulder. It smashed its hands on the notes in surprise, turning around quickly.
Once the figure had turned around, Keith noticed it was Lance. His chocolate brown skin still noticeable in the dark and his royal blue eyes practically illuminated on their own. He was clearly startled so Keith said,
"So, you know how to play?" To which Lance simply nodded and replied,
"Uhm.... yeah."
"I didn't really peg you for the type. What song were you playing?" His curiosity getting the better of him.
"It's just a song from a movie I kinda like," Lance seemed too nervous to say the songs name, "W-why are you up?"
"I woke up to the song, but I actually kinda like it." Keith admitted and watched as pink dusted Lance's cheeks.
"Well I'm glad you liked it.... I'm sorry for disturbin' ya buddy." Lance chuckled, "I'll just play it one more time then go to bed."
Keith nodded and walked off, hearing Lance start playing again. This time he took a leisurely walk back, stopping a couple times to see if everything on him was in place.
Keith was halfway down the corridor when he realized what the song was. By this time, the song was just about finished, and he was running full pace back to the piano. When he was a third of the way, he heard a blaster go off, indicating it was already too late. He cursed himself for not noticing right away the tear streaks on Lance's face, but he couldn't do anything now.
That was now truly, the song of sadness.
I'm sorry it's really short but I guess it's okay, sorry I haven't had too much inspiration and school and stuff so I'm sorry, hope ya liked it see ya!
