The Reunion

Both girls walk in into the most futuristic living room they have ever seen, Sara was too speechless. She looks at the walls seeing moving holograms of little David screaming and slashing in a little hologram kiddy pool having the best time of his life. It seems holograms are also a pretty popular thing as well. Then the next picture across from it was a picture of a wise young woman with her husband with two baby toddlers moving around with their little feet and arms. She just couldn’t believe that little toddler was her, happy and painless free.

They get to the kitchen to see a little bit older version of the wise young lady standing talking to David. She still looked beautiful just like Sara. Then the lady looks in the same direction where Sara was, they stare at each other like numerous hours were passing. They ran to each other and hugging, crying.

Sara:  “I missed you so much! *sniff* I’ve always wanted to see you.”

Sara’s Mom:              “Oh Sara, I missed you more than ever. I tried my hardest to get you back even your father tried, he was really close. He said that he actually saw you in person but then the guards took him the next second.”

Sara:  “Huh?”

Before she was about to go to the ‘present’ world there was a man who barged into one of the lab doors. He looked at her and started screaming her name constantly; she had no clue who that man was. She was alone in the Lab with him, he was by the door and she was at the end of the Lab, the lab wasn’t small it was pretty big. But then he was sadly taken away by the guards never been seen again.

Younger Sara:  “Who was that, and why was he calling my name?”

Mr. Marley:  “Sara, you don’t have to worry about that man. He’s just one of the subjects in here, one of the scientists gave him something and he when a little crazy.”

Sara:  “But it still doesn’t make sense, even a crazy person wouldn’t have known my name.”

Mr. Marley:  “Sara, don’t worry about it. Just forget about it!”

So younger Sara kept her mouth shut for the whole rest of her life, until she found the real answer of who he was. She couldn’t believe that it was her actual father screaming her name out. She actually saw one of her parents before she even met her fake parents, it gave her hope. It doesn’t make her depressed anymore, it makes her happy.

Sara:  “You mean that man who was in the Lab with me and shouting my name before I went to the ‘present’ world was my father?”

Sara’s Mom:  “Yes he was your father.”

Sara looks around the house to find her father.

Sara:  “Where is he anyway?”

Her mom turns around and looks at David giving him a look like she’s saying “Say something!” And David realizes what his mom is trying to say.

David:  “Mom? Isn’t he on a job trip in Germany? *looks at Sara* Oh just forget it! He went missing on the same day Mr. Marley went missing.”

Sara:  “Are you kidding!? Another person to go missing! Watch everyone in this house will go missing!”

Megan:  “Sara! You’ll jinx it!”

Both David and his mom look at Megan like she was talking in a different language.

David:  “What’s a jinx?”

Sara gives Megan an evil eye and walks closer to David.

Sara:  “Never mind her, she’s just talking gibberish.”

Megan:  “But I-“

Sara:  “Shut it Megan! *pauses and clears her throat* did you guys try to look for him?”

David:  “The survivors were also looking for him too; all they found of him was his pistol gun.”

Sara:  “What was he doing with a gun anyway?”

Sara’s Mom:  “No one knows, he didn’t even tell me where he was going and why he had the gun in the first place. And anyway the day he disappeared, I didn’t even know he had a gun with him.”

Sara stops looking at David and her mom. She swallows and then gave Megan a concerning look. Mr. Marley and her father were missing?

Sara:  “Do you think that the survivors would know why, why he had the gun or something like that?”

David:  *pauses and thinks* “I actually don’t know, that’s a good idea to find out. Why didn’t I think of that before?”

Sara:  “Well… I don’t know.”

Megan:  “Well what are you waiting for? Let’s go find out!”

The three of them started walking out of David’s house, they went out the door and their mom shouted:

Sara’s Mom:  “Be careful!”

David:  “We will mom!”

Then they started walking on a sidewalk. When finally Sara turned around to see if her house was here like the rest of the neighborhood, but her house wasn’t the one right next to David’s. It’s like that house didn’t even exist. She stops and looks at the other house and then both Megan and David realize and stop. They walk back to me with confusion.

Megan:  “What are you looking at?”

Sara:  “My house… it’s gone.”

Megan looks at the house that Sara’s house should have been, Sara was right, her house was gone. Where is it? Where can it be? Was it destroyed?

Sara:  “David? When we were born in this house and you were raised here, did you ever see a different house here?”

David:  “No, there wasn’t a different house next door to me. It’s always been the same old house. Is that where your house is, right there?”

Sara:  “Yeah, did anyone tell you what happened to the other house? Or somebody knows what happened?”

David:  “Maybe Amber’s grandma does.”

Sara:  “Amber? Who’s Amber?”

David:  “Just follow me, she doesn’t live that far.”

 

Sara and Megan looked at each other and Megan’s body language said “ok let’s go follow him,” so both girls followed him. They get to this one house at the end of the street; they looked at the house while David started ringing the doorbell. A girl about the same age as the girls and David came to the door. She starts smiling at David and she gets on top of him, he holds on to her while they started kissing and making out. Then she looks at Sara and Megan and gets down. Then she gets closer to them.
