Dancing In The Sun

I am a sun child,
Always out
Dancing with the sun

But what when the rain comes ?
What then ?
I feel as though I am lost
All my smiles evaporate
Tears streaming down my face

My mother always said
Don't be afraid, it's only a cloud

Eventually the cloud passes
And the sun is out
My tears are dried
And I smile again

So when I say it's not forever
Not permanent
Only a cloud passing by
Don't fear, don't cry
The sun will be out soon enough
And we can dance again.
