"Sunny, dear." A soothing voice cooed. Sunny was sitting in a woman's arms. Sunny was a baby, but also a preteen.

"Who are you?" Sunny asked. The woman began to speak, but her words drifted away.

Sunny's eyes flickered open. How long had she been asleep. She barely remembered anything. The first thing she truly noticed was that it was very dark. It was also cold.

Her head ached. Why was the ground so fluffy and the air around her so thin? Was she still dreaming? She couldn't have been.

"She's awake, sir." A man's voice said. Soft footsteps began coming toward where Sunny was laying.

A glimmer of light came down the corridor along with a man.

He looked thin and muscular. He had a furry robe that was a dark red.

"You must be Sunny, the rebellious WingStall." The man said.

"Depends. Who's asking?" Sunny asked.

"The King of Areon." The man replied in a strong, clear voice.

King Rich? Why did the King care about a WingStall like Sunny? Where were her friends?

"Where are my friends?" Sunny asked, sternly.

"At their wing forcing" King Rich's royal purple wings flung out from behind his robe.

"Why? One isn't even a true WingStall!" Sunny blurted.

"She will be in three hours!" King Rich yelled.

In three hours? Sky's birthday was five days away. Five days. Sunny had been asleep for five days.

"Why do you want us?" Sunny asked.

"1,000 years ago, humans prophesied that humans would grow wings. The first one would be the King. That came true. There was also another prophecy. It said that in a thousand years, four WingStalls would defeat the monarchy.

"Ten years ago, my advisor discovered these prophecies. I sent everyone without wings to the flightless village. There was a woman who had had a child two years prior. Her child was unfound. I took care of her." The King explained.

"You killed my mom?!"
