It's my parent's anniversary AND my friend's birthday party today... I'm uber busy, and I'm just barely squeezing in this poem! Haha enjoy (:

Don's resent the things you ain't got
Because you already have a lot
And, between you and me,
life is all that is should be.
At least you've got a roof over your head
and to sleep in, you have a comfortable bed.
You've got dreams and you've got hope,
so there's no reason for you to mope.
Other people aren't as lucky:
they don't have beds or food that's not yucky
So be grateful for the things you got
because God made sure you got a lot.

This is also another poem I wrote in my Creative Writing class. It's intentionally written to be in the style of a children's book, almost like Dr. Suess.
