I finished typing on my laptop with my final chapter when I heard a laughing behind not far from me. I shut my laptop lid and turned in the seats to see Brian carrying Nicki upside down.
"Brian Haner Jr!" I snapped as I snatched the baby from him, "That's not how you carry your one year old."
He laughed, "He's nearly two?"
I gave him an evil look, "I know how old my son is."
He threw his hands up, "Okay okay."
I shook my head laughing and held my son on my hip.
"Look at this view." Brian said walking a few steps down the rail, looking down at the stage.
We were up in the top balcony. I was up here to finish my book, while Brian came hunting me down.
"You guys are playing down there tonight." I said standing next to him.
He looked at me and smiled, "Taking pictures from up here?"
I nodded, "You know it."
"Hey! Get down here!" My brother yelled at us, as he walked out on the stage.
We both laughed then joined my brother down on the ground level of the arena.
That's right, here they were, sold out arenas, going on their third month of a world tour. And I couldn't be prouder of my brother.
"Sound check?" Brian asked Matt as we walked out in the open seats on ground level.
Matt shook his head and snatched Nicki from me, "No I wanted my nephew."
I laughed rolling my eyes, "You can keep him for the next hour or so, but you have to do us a favor."
Brian looked at me confused, but got a huge grin on his face.
"What is it?" My brother asked, looking at me as if I was up to no good.
Which was true.
"Lead Johnny right there, under the rail," I said pointing to the entrance to the ground level, "Brian and I are going to dump ice water on him from up there."
"Shit that sounds like a bad ass idea," Brian laughed, "It will get him back for hiding my bed behind a damn curtain!"
I couldn't help but laugh, "Yea, but make sure he doesn't have his phone, I'm not going to be that asshole."
Matt just looked at us both, "Don't you get me wet, or so help me you guys wont live to the end of this tour."
I nodded my head and shook his hand, "I'll do my best not to."
He glared at me and shook his head, walking off back stage, "You better start getting ready!"
Brian and I ran off to catering. We grabbed the bowl that had for ice for the drinks. We dumped some of the ice out and added cold water. Then we made our way to the balcony, right above the entry way to go back stage. I texted Matt which section he needed to bring Johnny to and that we were ready.
"I love this," I laughed, leaning against the rail, looking at Brian.
He smiled really big and kissed me, "I love you. I'm so fucking glad your my wife. You seriously are the best."
"You think so?" I asked him.
He nodded his head.
"Let me see your phone," I said holding my hand out, "I'll try Matt on it."
He handed me my phone and looked out over the rail, trying to see in the tunnel under us, "I don't see them."
"That's because were over here," Johnny said coming out from across the arena with Matt and my son.
