the train

the next thing i remembered clearly was when petunia had sat me and sky down on the train,

"Taylor, sky, this is bebe (pronounced bay bay) your mentor," a tall man walked through one of the sliding doors, he had long blonde curly hair, he also had a thin blonde moustache stripped across his upper lip, his shirt was grey and boring and his jeans were blue and faded, he didnt look very... interesting,

"right I shall leave you to it bebe," petunia spoke as she walked off, bebe sat down and looked both of us up and down,

"ok who is who, im assuming your sky," he pointed at me "and you're taylor he pointed at sky, I felt like slapping him,

"no I'm taylor and he's sky," I said trying not to sound awful,

"wow, weird names," I felt slightly offended but I didnt care, I had learned to deal with these things, "ok then, have either of you ever fought before?"

"I have," sky said sitting up straight,

"good, at least I don't have to teach you," bebe muttered under his breath,

"I've fought too," I butted in quickly,

"really? who?"

"did you hear about that girl who took down the peacekeeper and walked the next day?"

"yeah, it was all over the tv,"

"that girl... was me," both sky and bebe looked at me in disbelief,

"you, take down a peacekeeper? don't lie to yourself it's not good for your concentration," sky said with a laughter in his words, at that point i did feel like punching him, I rammed my fist into his stomach making him collapse to the floor in a heap, oops, too late, "What the hell was that for?" He sank his face into the floor, I shook my head,

"Sorry, what were you saying bebe?" I completely ignored sky's howls of pain as he rolled around on the floor, bebe looked terrified,

"Uhh, shall we get you ready for training?" he tried to divert the conversation,

"No, i would like to know how he," i pointed to sky still clutching his stomach in pain, "Will fair when people are shooting arrows  and throwing swords at him," bebe looked at him in not so deep thought,

"Well the way he reacted to your punch not so good," he shrugged and pulled sky up by the back of his shirt,

"That's because i'm an archer, not a swordsman," sky said straightening his collar,

"Ya i'll believe that when i see it," i said, he scoweled at me with the most hatrid anyone had ever seen,

"ok then enough of this lets get you sorted for when we get to the quarters," I nodded, sky just frowned, "you might wanna start smiling before you make friends, you'll put people off otherwise," bebe grabbed sky's face and pulled him forward, "ok?"

"yeah yeah just-OW!-let go!" he screamed, bebe pushed him back,

"you wont last long in the games, if youre gonna make it past the first 10 seconds you're gonna have to toughen up," he scowled at sky "now before we get to the quaters I wanna show you who you're up against," we walked down the train and came to a board room, we sat down and bebe started a video,

"I wanna know who my biggest threat is," I folded my arms and leaned back,

"#1 would be lily careesa, she is a very strong women but her loyalty can be her weakness, #2 would be jerome aceti-" he began,

"Jerome is in the games," I covered my mouth in shock,

"you know him?" sky looked in shock,

"no I just shouted his name for the jolly and laugh,

"kind of a funny story actually,  kayliegh king was supposed to be the female tribute but jerome voulentered for her and after deliberation they let him be the female tribute, moving on, #3 is Mitchell hughes he's in the same district as jerome and was reaped as the male tribute,"

"well i've already got two allies," i said sitting up straight,

"do you know mitchel too?" I looked at him with my 'are you serious face' he shrugged, "well sene as you already know these people then you'll probably make it further in, #4 joseph king, kayliegh's brother, he was moved districts after him and his sister started a riot, they find strength in numbers, if you wanna take him down do it when he's alone and you're together, he's not skilled on his own, #5 mollie jani-" he was cut off by petunia waltzing in and shouting

"ok everyone we are off the train in 2, chop chop," she clapped her hands,"

"ill tell you the rest in the quaters," bebe stopped the video and walked out, as I stood up sky grabbed my arm pulling me back down,

"y'know when we get in the arena guess whos first on my kill list," he whispered into my ear,

"and guess who's on the top of mine," I pulled free of his grip and continued walking, "good luck sky, you'll need it!" I called back.
