Chapter 3: Beni's Past part II

Guren and Beni stood there, just staring at each other. To break the silence between them, Beni invited Guren in and they sat down on the couch to talk.

"It.. it's nice to see you again, Guren." Beni seemed to be curious as to why he was there.

"I did't mean to desturb you at this hour, but I came to see how you were doing. You know, after Villius... Beni interrupted.

"Ohh that, it's nothing really I am fine." she seemed to have something else on her mind. "I mean, just because there is no one I can really trust, does not mean I'm not okay."

"Why Beni, why do you not trust people the way you do and what is it that makes us different?" he tried not to pry, it was just that Guren cares for a lot of peolpe, he tries to understand them in ways others couldn't.

"I, I don't know how to answer that exactly." she hesitated

"I'm worried about you and just want to know the Beni I've come to know and kind of like." he did'nt know what to say next.

"Well since you cared so much to come and ask me that, why not. It all happened when I was about 8 years old."

- Flashback -

Little Beni was on the playgroun d when she noticed two other girls staring at her and they were her friends.

"So Beni, now thanks to you, we can't eat during story time, and you're gonna pay." the girl explained as she shoved Beni into the dirt.

"Why are you doing this to me, I thought you guys were my friends, we look out for each other. muttered as she started to tear up.

The girls just stood there laughing. "You actually thought you were our friend, we only hung out with you because no one can stand to see your face and I told my brother to pretend that he had liked you."

The other girl added on, "yeah, we told you to stay away from my brother!"

The two girls started laughing when Beni noticed her friends' brother walking over. But instead of defending her, he chose to be mean to her also. She could not believe the boy she had grown to like was beating up on her.

She had been picked on and hurt by the ones who she thought cared about her Beni was never able to trust anyone without the fear of being stabbed in the back, and lost all trust in people. This is why, that to this day, Beni thinks that they're boring and tie you down, which makes it hard to see their true nature. Cold and Cruel.

-Reality-

Beni started to tear up, indicating that her story had come to an end.

Guren spoke softly as he reached to give Beni a comforting hug, "Beni, um.. I didn't know. But I'm telling you, it will get better if you .. but he was interrupted by a message on his wrist watch.

It was from Ceylan, he said he wanted to meet Guren in the park over by the school to talk. But he couldn't leave Beni here by herself in the state that she's in right now. As he turned to tell Beni he had to leave, she had already fallen asleep in his arms.

Guren carried her to bed, and as he tucked her in, said "It will get better, I promise." he kissed her forehead and stroked her long, beautiful pink hair. She smiled. He watched for a minute at the girl sleeping peacefully in her room. After a while Guren let himself out of her apartment and went to meet up with Ceylan.
