Chapter 6: A Strange Relationship

After Beni had told Guren about her crush, it was kind of awkward. How were they gonna tell the others? What would they think? Is this going to work out? They didn't know what to do.

-At School-

The bell rang and it was time for everyone to leave. Guren was the first to come outside and he started walking, until the others caught up to him. He hadn't talked all day and semed to have something on his mind and I think I know. It was about how Beni said that she liked him and how he said the same thing to her. They wanted to know what the deal was, and were about to figure out why.

"Guren!" says Ceylan "What's going on buddy, you've been quiet all day: you sick or something?" "No, I just have something on my mind, that's all" he replied. "Well, we were just heading over to the diner for some snacks, you wanna come?" Toxsa asks. "Umm no thanks, I've got a lot of homework, so I'll catch up with you guys later. See ya" Guren answered before walking home. "What was that all about?" asked Chooki, puzzled. "You don't think it had something to do with us making romantic jokes at him and Beni last night, would it?" Ceylan jestured. "I have no idea" replied Toxsa.

-The Nash Household-

"Dad I'm home!" yelled Guren when he entered the house.

It was quiet, no one was home except for his pet cat, Max. So, he decided to go in the kitchen for a snack, when he saw a note on the counter. It said: "Guren, sorry if I'm not home when you read this. I have to work late, feel free to make something for dinner. Love you, Dad."

"Ahh" Guren sighed in relief. "Well Max, guess it's just you and me tonight." while he was stroking Max's fur, Guren yawned. "I'd play with you, but I'm just too..." he had fallen asleep on the couch with Max curled beside him. He had a long day at school and all he could think about was Beni.

The next day, Guren woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs from the kitchen as he got out of bed and ran downstairs.

 "Good Morning Guren, sleep well?" his dad said with a smile. "Yeah dad. I missed you last night" he continued. "Oh, sorry about that, it's just that i've been busy." "Working on the tower!" they both said in unison "Right" Mr. Nash exclaimed. "Well" his dad said. "I better get to work." "Oh, um.. okay" Guren sighed knowing that he wouldn't see his dad the next day. "Hey, don't worry bud, it's just work" exclaimed Mr. Nash as he rubbed Guren's head and walked out the door.

-History-

Today, Guren wasn't able to pay attention in class, until he realized Ceylan calling his name. "Alright Guen, what is with you lately?" Ceylan asked concerned and quite upset. "And none of that 'it's nothing' stuff." "Fine, I'll tell you" he said  "But you can't tell anyone else." "I can't make any promises." Ceylan exclaimed.

Guren told Ceylan why he was acting strange the day they defeated Villius him and Beni said that they liked each other and how the others weren't supposed to find them sleeping together. He continued to tell Ceylan about how long he felt this way and wanted to go on a date.

After talking with Ceylan, Guren went home too get ready for his date wth Beni, IF she says yes.
