It was September 3rd, 2017.
Everyone knew what it means.
Yet, there's nothing they can do.
Jungkook glanced towards Taehyung who sat two seats away from him and sighed. He saw the way the older looking at the concept team who was talking in front of the meeting room, but he knew that the older's mind was in somewhere else.
It was in that day, last year, that it happened. It was already one year ago when he saw his hyung trying to hold back his tears, trying to be strong and happy for their fans that had been waiting for them for God knows how long. It was already one year ago when his hyung finally broke down at the hotel, locking himself in the bathroom and crying for hours. It was already one year ago, when he lost someone that was very important to him.
It was one year ago, yet the pain was still there.
Jungkook turned his head back to the concept team that was still leading their meeting, talking about their upcoming comeback. The other members were throwing their opinion here and there, except Taehyung, and that was how Jungkook know that Taehyung wasn't really paying attention to their meeting.
The meeting was going for hours and when it was finally ended, the sky outside was already dark. They stood up, shaking hands with the concept team with a polite smile and a 'thank you'. Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok went straight to their studio after that, Sejin guided the rest of them back to their cars. They were separated into two cars, Taehyung was in the car with him.
Taehyung put his earphone once he get inside, and rested his head on the window, closing his eyes. The car was silent until they reached their dorm, and Taehyung instantly went out, surprising Jungkook who thought that he was fell asleep.
Seokjin went straight to his bedroom. The eldest member had a recording session since early in the morning, and he went straight to the meeting after that.
Jimin was also going straight to his bedroom. The oldest member of the maknae line had to help Sungdeuk and Hoseok making a choregraphy for their new song since early in the morning too.
Taehyung disappeared once he come inside their dorm, Jungkook didn't know where he is. He assumed that maybe Taehyung went straight to his bedroom too, and that was how he get surprised when Taehyung walked pass him from the kitchen.
"Hyung," Jungkook breathed out that word and the older halted, turning his head towards the younger.
"Yes, Kook?"
The older's tired eyes stared back at him waiting for an answer, while Jungkook was busy taking the sight in front of him. Messy hair, dimmed eyes ands slumped shoulder. A forced smile was the things that caught his eyes the most.
"Kookie?"
Jungkook blinked a few times when he heard his name, and he realised that the older was looking at him with a what is it, maknae look.
"I...uh...I noticed that you didn't give much opinion at the meeting like before," Jungkook told him.
The older smiled a little at him, before scrunching his nose and ruffling the younger's hair, "aww...are you worrying about me? Did Jungkookie grow up already?"
"Yah!" Jungkook pouted, make the older laugh at his cuteness that Jungkook couldn't help but smile at the sight. He looked at the older as Taehyung walked down the hallway and went into his room.
