Deion darted her eyes between Anthony and Jhenea as that sat in an uncomfortable silence. She had just asked Jhenea a question that she knew would be asked by Esanya attorney and so far she hadn't gotten any response. "Hello, earth to the Taylor's." She snapped her fingers trying to tune them back in.Jhenea shook her head not taking the sound of her being called a Taylor nicely. "I'm an Amreeyell and he's a Taylor."After a week of enjoying her engagement Jhenea was soon faced with the music and hard truth of the motives Anthony had. She didn't take to it lightly so her promise ring now sat comfortably onto her right hand again. It pissed Anthony off so they were really trying to ease back into communicating with each other again.
"I don't know what the fuck drug you on since you pregnant and all, but you on the verge of bein' a Taylor so get fuckin' use to it."Anthony spat at her while clenching his jaw. This was Deion's first meeting with the two and she couldn' count on neither hands or feet how much they both apologized on the their behalfs for the other's attitudes. It was cute at first, but now it was plain out annoying since she was focused on preparing Jhenea.
"You sell them so you should know." Jhenea scoffed while spewing back at him.
As Anthony fixated his lips to scold Jhenea in the meanest way possible, Deion intervened. "Okay!"She shouted before the couple began to bicker again. "I'm your lawyer not you marrige counsellor!" Deion disclaimed while planting her hands onto the table insinuating that she was in charge of how the rest of the meeting will be conducted.
Both Anthony and Jhenea looked back at her with their brow raised in a questioning manner. Jhenea slowly rised from her seat still staring Deion down. "We'll resume this after I go relieve my bladder."
Huffing out a frustrating sigh, Deion allowed her to go to the bathroom postponing the duration of the meeting for about ten minutes. She only allowed it because Jhenea was pregnant, however she knew if it were otherwise, her meeting would go on and Jhenea would just be having to clench her legs shut.
Now sitting back in her seat, Jhenea allowed Anthony to touch her stomach. Surprisingly his touch was the ony thing that could quickly subdue the queasiness she felt when she conducted a rapid movement, like getting up too quickly.
"Bladder empty?"Deion asked Jhenea who nodded."No more interupptions?"
The two adults nodded back to Deion allowing her to finally begin. "Jhenea you are now a very key part of this case since you are claimed to be another victim of the accusation."
Jhenea scoffed while she rolled her eyes. "Everything we do is consensual hence the fact that I'm pregnant." Jhenea hated that Esanya was throwing dirt on her man's pratically polished character. Anthony respected a woman's rights of saying no and disagreeing so she knew not to believe anything Esanya was claiming that happened.
However, that didn't get Anthony off thin ice with her. She felt like Anthony should have known better than to even put her or himself into a postion as such. It just wasn't something smart to do and hopefully he learmed from it in the long run.
Stressfully running her hands through her hair, Deion let out a long breath. "Due to this being a sexual assault case, try straying away from you two's sex life because her defense will twist it into something else."
"What if he asks?"Jhenea questioned.
"Then you better make the most uncomfortable face ever and I call him out for badgering you."With Deion being such a notorious lawyer, she knew all the loopholes of the law and court. She basically was able to get her clients out of any and everything. She knew it wasn't the idealistic lawyer thing to do, but in order for her to make Luckket believe Esanya was missing a few screws in the head, she had too. Jhenea was already innocent, but now she was trying to make Jhenea seem overly innocent so it can seem like there was no way things could have went down as such.
