(March comes in like lion an goes out like a lamb)

It was a beautiful Saturday morning in cul-de-sac. Kevin crawled slowly out of his bed. With his red blanket with different colored rectangles still wiggled around him he looked at his alarm clock. It was only 7:30 am and Kevin felt like crap. He was breathing heavily but he still tried to make his way downstairs into the kitchen to get a glass of water. Even thought he had some trouble keeping his balance he managed to reach the kitchen with some help of the walls and furniture around him. Finally at his goal he found his mother already making breakfast for herself because she knew Kevin wouldn't be up in at least another hour. The smell of pancakes crawled up his nose and Kevin almost began to hurl as his mother noticed the red-haired boy standing in the doorframe still wearing his red shirt and the loose sweatpants that he wore to bed.

"Sweety. Are you alright?" she asked concerned because of her sons unusual behavior.

Normally Kevin hated to be addressed like that by his mother and would tell her to not call him that but he felt too sick to get angry.

"I think I'm not feeling too well." he said with a husky voice.

His mother got up from her chair and walked over to Kevin to put a hand on his forehead.

"No wonder Sweety. You're burning up. Let's get you back to bed."

"But Mum. I have plans today." as he whined he felt his throat getting dryer.

"Kevin. You have a fever you shouldn't be anywhere else than bed."

"Can I at least have some water before going back to sleep."

"Of course I bring it to you after I brought you to your room." she took her arm around Kevin, "You can't even stand straight how can you think about stepping outside the house to play with your friends."

Kevin tried to shake her off saying embarrassed: "Mom I can walk by myself."

"I see that you can't stand right, Sweaty. There is no way I let you walk up stairs in you condition."

"Is there no arguing with you?" sulked Kevin and Kathleen juts gave him a heartwarming smile.

Then she accompanied him to his room. Shortly after Kevin made himself cozy under his blanket. His mother showed up again and brought him a bottle of water and a glass to drink from and put it on his nightstand next to the red lamp and a tissue box. Then she sat on Kevin's bed to put her hand on his cheek and stroke it with her thump. Which embarrassed her son but before he could say anything against it when suddenly the telephone rang.

"Try to get some sleep. Sweety. I'll get the phone."

She went outside the room and Kevin grabbed his cell phone to text Nazz and Rolf that he can't come to the Lane because he is sick. It surprised him when he already got texted back by Rolf.

TO Kevin: "It's okay Kevin. Rolf can't go either. Must search Wilfred.

I'm afraid it will give wolf meet for dinner tonight. Also there is. How

do you say. Someone in the family gets chained? So I have to leave

tomorrow for the old country."

To Rolf: "Dude. I have no idea what you are talking about.

But good luck I guess?"
