Chapter Thirteen

I awoke with a slight cough, I groaned weakly, Looking around but my vision is still blurry due to waking up.

I kept my eyes closed for a moment before opening it again, Looking at my side to see my father asleep, He had his back against my orange and black diamond wallpaper, His head bowed and his chest heaved up and down as he softly breathed in his sleep, His arms crossed.

I smiled slightly, He looked so peaceful in that position, I did tried to sit up, Shuffling along the way, I grunted softly as I succeeded, Wrapping my arms around me as I feel cold.

I looked at my beside table to see my phone, Flashing, Indicating that there had been a message or a missed call.

I slowly reached for it but, Literally I can't, I feel like I've been made out of metal, With that, I let out a soft whimper, Not able to reach such distance.

I hear wood creaking behind me, I slowly looked behind to see my father awake, Yawning and stretching his limbs, Afterwards, He looked towards me and frowned.

" What are you trying to do..? " He asked, Leaning on the mattress slightly.

" Trying.. To get my phone.. " I replied, Slowly going back to my position before, Resting my back against the headboard as I feel waves of pain stimulating through my nerves, bones and muscles, I winced at that.

My Dad only frowned more before leaning in to kiss my forehead and cheek before standing up to get my phone for me.

I stead of giving it to me, He opened it and looked at the message, After seconds, He smiled warmly before handing my phone back to me.

I blinked slightly before rubbing my eyes due to the blur.

It said:

Hey, Firn!, Papa Told me that you were sick and had cancer and even worse leukemia, But, No need to cry like the old days, I am coming back this evening, In all honestly, I do missed you, It had been so long since the last time we seen each other, Plus, I'm sorry that I have to broke the promise I had made, I had to work three times a day to get enough money for Papa's treatment and eventually need to stay for years to earn myself some money and for you, But, Again, I promise, I will see you, As soon as possible.

I blinked slightly before turning my phone off, I couldn't feel but cry a little bit about that.

Who wouldn't want to see their brother for so long?

Jin smiled and slowly took the phone I handed for him and he placed it back on the nightstand, He then reached his paw to my face to wipe some tears away and kissed my forehead.

To which made my heart skip a beat and my cheeks flushed.

He then slowly pulled away and let out a soft exhale.

" You don't know how much I missed you.. Since the years you ran away, I couldn't help but think about you even if I'm at work nor eating, It's just.. You were the only one I had after Kha left for abroad. " He explained slightly.

" I didn't really mean to be harsh towards you, Believe me, My heart felt like breaking when I scold or slap you, I mean, Yes, My Parental instincts were kicking like crazy to hold you as you were going out of the front doors, But I held myself, Eventually, You'll just make another way to escape the mansion. " He continued.

" You know me very well.. " I murmured. " Believe me, It really hurts to leave you like that, I mean I misunderstood the rules and disciplines you had made.. " I bit my bottom lip as I looked at my demon father.

He smiled a bit and reached out to ruffle my hair before cupping my flushed cheek " Since your mother gave birth to you.. I was mad.. Yes, I don't want another kid, But, As The days goes by, I eventually accepted and loved you every single day, Even your brother was jealous but even if he is, He would just ignore the jealousy, But, Until now, I won't stop loving you.. " He murmured and rubbed my flushed cheeks.

That literally made me blush like mad, I close my eyes and let out a content sigh, Loving the feeling of my father's warm paw against my cheek, But eventually, I began to nuzzle it.

He chuckled low and leaned in to kiss my forehead to my muzzle, to my nose and to my eyelids before pulling away Scratching underneath my chin.

I squirmed slightly but eventually purred and giggled from the ticklish feeling.

He chuckled lightly as he continued though the bedroom door had opened, Revealing Kinnis in a white tank top shirt along with his black short pants.

" Did I interrupt something? " He asked, His head tilted.

My father sighed as the moment had been ruined but he eventually smiled and gave my forehead another kiss before looking at Kinnis.

" No, Not at all, But are you here to start the therapy? " He asked.

Kinnis smiled and nodded " Yes sir, Just tell me when Firn is ready so that I could start. "

My father looked at me with a ' Are-you-ready-? ' look.

I nodded and smiled reassuringly in response, He chuckled and leaned in to kiss my ears before standing up, Giving me a soft look before passing Kinnis who sidestepped to let Jin out.

After Jin had walked out, Kinnis stepped in and closed the door behind him, He grabbed the chair where my father was at and pulled it closer beside me, Sitting on it before looking at me with a sincere smile.

" What to talk about..? " I murmured

" Well, We can start with your problems, Though what's your problem?, According to Keido, You had this, Troubled look the other day in the living room. "

I bit my lower lip and sighed, Fumbling with my fingers before looking at Kinnis again, He looked at me with a smile once more.

I looked around once again Contemplating whether tell him or not.

But eventually the first option won, Letting out a shaky breath, I respond.
