New Friend (Ivory's POV)

"We're here!".Said grandpa cheerfully.

"Wait,what? Where are we? Oh,Miami,right.". I remembered. I still am a little sleepy,although I almost slept the whole ride long,and it was very long. We go on vacations as soon as I finish my tests,and well, let's just say tests aren't so friendly with me.

"You don't sound very excited.". Mom said sarcastically. Well,my mom is the queen of sarcasm, I love it,but sometimes she can get on my nerves,and she can be a little offensive. But what can I say,she's my mom and I love her.

"Yeah,consider not sleeping for three days... I think you get what I mean".

"Oh yeah,I do. I mean,I took care of you! Believe me,I know that feeling. I once stayed up for a whole week.".

"A week? Come on,mom,you're exaggerating.".

"You were the most crying baby I've ever taken care of. Because when I took care of Robbie, he was so peaceful, he did cry,but not as much!".

"Oh well,they always say the first babies are the hardest," I said,"Why are we still in this car? I have to move my legs."

Robbie,mom,dad and I hopped out of the car. We were super excited. Grandma and grandpa weren't as excited because they've been here before.

It was Robbie's,mom's and my first time here in Miami,dad has been here before on a business trip. I don't know much about Miami,but I do know that it has some of the most amazing beaches in the whole world.

The minute I got out of the car,everything started to hurt at once. My legs,back and neck were killing me.

"Ivory,why don't you go unpack the bags?". Dad said after we got in our room.

"Really,dad? Are you serious? Have you forgotten the last time I unpacked?" I told him. Unpacking is certainly not my favorite thing to do,because the first time I unpacked-actually and the last-, let's just say that the trip didn't end up so well.

"Yeah,right.". Dad said.

"No! Don't even think about it,just go for a walk or something,I don't need you to ruin my first time in Miami." Said mom

"Agreed." Said Robbie.

"Oh,thanks,dude, I can feel the love," I said,"Okay,well,I'll see you all in a while.". I took a pack of Orios and went for a walk.

It was relieving to walk, I was able to stretch my legs a bit. I walked around for a while,and then decided to sit down to watch the sunset. I was looking for a nice spot to sit at,then I found a girl sitting,staring at the sunset,so I decided to join her.

She had light brown hair,and chocolate-brown eyes, she wore green shorts and a white top. She also wore huge Beats headphones.

"It's nice,right?". I said.

"Yeah,it is.". The girl said.

"I'm Ivory Quartz by the way.".

"Oh,nice to meet you," "I'm Natalie Stewart."....

We talked for about twenty minutes. It was nice to have a new friend,someone new to talk to,at first I thought she was too cool for me, but she actually turned out to be kinda like me.

She had to go back to her room,so we said goodbye,and she walked away. I continued walking around. Wow,I think I'm gonna like it here.
