Lazy

I opened my eyes,it was sunny outside so I guess I slept in. I began to feel what was left of yesterday's exhaustion,damn it,wasn't sleep enough?

After a while I got up,got in the bathroom for about ten minutes. Although I only had two days left here in Miami -counting today- I didn't really feel like going out or spending the day with Ivy or Jake,I still felt a little tired,so that could be a good excuse.

"Good morning,honey." Mom said as I walked out of the room.

"Morning,mom."

"So,we came in last night to find you already sleeping."

"Yeah,shocker,right." Can't I go to bed early?

"What's going on?"

"Nothing,just a little tired,mom."

"No,I mean.. You know what I mean."

"Oh,that."

"What's going on?" Mom asked again,mom was like my sister more than like my mom,so I think it's okay to tell her,she won't freak out or anything.

"Well, I broke up with Steven."

"What? Why?"

"You know,same old story,cheating."

"Oh,honey,I'm so sorry."

"No,it's okay,I'm over him."

"I didn't really like him that much,he looked like a player." Did everyone else see that? How come I didn't then?

"Yeah,well, good thing we're done." I smiled.

"I'm going to the pool,wanna come?" Mom said a while later.

"No,I'm staying in today."

"You do realize you've got two days left in Miami,right?"

"Yeah,mom,I'm just a little tired,that's all."

"Okay,honey,I'm gonna go now." She got up and kissed my forehead.

"Okay,have fun." And she was out of the room in no time,looks like she's been having a lot of fun. Well,good for her.

I kept switching channels on Tv,there was absolutely nothing on. After giving up on the Tv,I decided to check my phone.

No texts,and especially no texts from steven,good,I guess he gave up trying,sounds like him,I smiled to myself. I decided to call Lucy,since I had nothing to do.

"Hey,Lucy."

"Nat! Oh,god, I miss you so freaking much! How are you?"

"I'm great,you?"

"Good."

"How's everything in Redmond?"

"You can say it's not the same without you."

"Yeah,right." I chuckled.

"Well,at least to me. Oh,and I'm sorry about my asshole-brother. He's unbelievable!"

"No,it's okay,Lucy,I'm really over him."

"Okay."

"I've gotta go now, I'll see you in two days?"

"Okay,can't wait."

"Okay,bye." I hung up.

I didn't really have anything else to do,I just didn't want to talk on the phone,too lazy I guess.

I need to eat something,I realized I haven't eaten a proper meal this week,I guess I was too busy to think about food,that almost never happens.

I opened the tiny fridge that was in the room to find some chocolate bars and a jar of peanut butter,what was a jar of peanut butter doing here? I turned around and saw some toast. I'm sure my mom brought these. Whatever, I needed to eat, so like the freak I am, I made three sandwiches. A while later,I unwrapped a chocolate bar. Nice lunch.

I went to the balcony, and it was apparently a beautiful day,the sun was up,some kids were playing in the pool,and other people were playing couple games. Was I really wasting this day? And exhaustion hit me again. Seriously,something's wrong, I don't sleep around like this normally,but ignoring that,I went to bed again. Heaven,I thought to myself as I hit the mattress,blacking out again.

I woke up a few hours later,on the voice of what appeared to be Ivy. What was she doing here?

"Nat? Wake up,dude. You've been sleeping for so long."

"No I haven't" I said as I opened my eyes.

"Really?" She raised her eyebrow

"Okay,maybe I have."

"Why are you so lazy?"

"I don't know,maybe you infected me." I said,teasing her.

"Really funny." She said sarcastically.

"Okay,I'm up,what do you want to do?"

"Since it's too late to go out,I've got my laptop,we can watch a movie."

"Sounds fun." I haven't done that in a while.

She picked out a comedy,it was hilarious. I didn't catch the name,though.

"I wanna sleep." Said Ivy after the movie was over.

"Welcome to my world." We giggled.

She got in the bed,we kept teasing each other for a while,and before we knew it,we were sleeping.
