-Natalie's POV-

Early the next day,I was walking around the hotel.-Technically,I haven't exactly gone up,I was walking around ever since we got back from the park- I didn't really feel like sleeping, and I hate rolling around in bed not being able to sleep.

I couldn't stop thinking about Jake as I was walking, like he was some obsession of mine; How does he really feel about me? What kind of person is he really? Would he break my heart, like Steven did? And I kept comparing between how it was being with both Steven and Jake, the way Steven was treating me in the very beginning, and the way he was treating me right before he cheated, compared to the way Jake was treating me. I think I'm going crazy. I shook my head as if to shake away those thoughts,I know Jake would never do that to me,he promised.

I looked up to see the sun rising, how long have I been here? It felt only like a couple of hours. Just as I was going up to my room,I felt someone coming up behind me and holding my waist,I jumped in horror, startled,I turned around to face Jake who looked slightly concerned.

"Are you okay,Nat? Why are you jumpy?" He asked

"Yeah,I'm good,I guess I didn't get enough sleep." I said,smiling.

"About that, why aren't you up in your room, sleeping, like every other normal person in the hotel?" He said, crossing his arms.

" I didn't feel like sleeping,so I was walking around.." Hey,he was in the hotel, awake! "Wait a second, what are you doing here? I thought you went home." I was not the only one who needed an explanation.

"Uh,I did go home, and had plenty of sleep, which clearly you didn't get a glimpse of. I just thought of coming here early and waiting for you to wake up,and thanks to you, that part is done."

"Hey,I had a very good reason." I protested.

"Which is?"

"Um,thinking..?" I bit my lip.

"I'd love to know what's going on in that head of yours." He said, getting closer to me and putting his arms around my waist. He leaned in to kiss me,and I gave in. Did anyone ever succeed in saying no to him? It got a bit tougher,so I pulled away, looking at him warily.

"Sorry." He said, his face suddenly dark, serious.

"What is it?" Now that I got closer to him,I could see his face,he looked tired, dark shades of purple circles under his eyes.

-Jake's POV-

I can't imagine telling her,it would freak her out,I can't risk her knowing.

*Flashback*

I headed home after I dropped Natalie off to the hotel and driving around for a while,I found a car in the driveway which wasn't any of my parents',so I pulled up and got out of the car. It was dark, only a few lights on in the neighbourhood,I saw a familiar figure that I really didn't want to see then,or ever for that matter, sitting on the porch.

"What the hell are you doing here? You have the nerves to come here?" I said grimly racing to the porch.

"Why,aren't you happy to see me,Jake?" Ian stood up then fell down to the ground again when my fist hit his face,I wasn't nearly even done with him last night. He got back up and I let him. "Not quite the welcome I was expecting." He smiled, then licked some blood that was on his lip. He had a black eye from yesterday, apparently, I did the bastard some damage.

"What do you want?" I asked, waiting for a respond that might allow me to punch him again.

"I just came by to let you know that I know." I could have punched him anyways, but I held my spot.
