Ch. 14 "We Gon' Be Alright"

Continuation From Last Time...

"JULIUS!" Jay's yelling while running down the stairs fast as his legs will allow him to.

My heels are preventing me from flying down the stairs as fast as Jay, but I'm carefully making my way down the stairs with speed also.

"JULIUS!" Jay yelled again soon as he reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Yes, sir?" Julius entered the foyer soon as I made it down the last step.

"Drive us to the hospital, SJ's passed out!" Jay quickly informed him.

"What happened?"

"W-we don't know, he said his head was hurting, then-then next thing I know he was on the floor" Tears fell from my eyes while I explained panicky.

I'm so broken up, concerned, and scared right now. I can't calm myself enough to stop shaking, and my heart is pounding damn near out my chest.

"We need to get him to a hospital right now!" Jay shouted. "He won't wake up!"

"Ok, sir. The closest hospital is Hann Gipson Memorial" Julius said.

"That's cool, let's go" Jay opened the front door and stepped outside.

Soon as his feet touched the warm pavement of our doorstep, he realized he doesn't have any shoes on.

"Shit!, I need to run upstairs and grab some shoes"

"I'll go grab em" I said before turning around and running up the stairs. I wanna get out of these heels.

I ran into our bedroom and grabbed the first pair of shoes of Jay's I seen, and also grabbed a pair of my sneakers.

I knew I should have wore my chucks today, but Blue chose these damn heels.

"Shit, Blue!" I shouted remembering she's here.

I kicked my heels off, slid my chucks on, then rushed out my room and down the hall to Blue & SJ's room.

"...when you're staring at a demi God! What can I sayyy, except your welcome" Blue's singing along to the movie.

"Blue, sweety, we have to go" I said rushing over and picking her up from her bed.

"Mommyy, I'm watchin Moana. Put me dowwnn" She demanded in a whiney tone.

"You can finish watching it later, baby. Brother is sick, so we have to take him to the doctor right now" I said while carrying her out the room, waisting no time.

She sucked her teeth and pouted, obviously not too happy she can't continue watching her movie.

"Okayy" She held onto my neck. "Your crying mommy? what's wrong?" She asked after noticing the wet tear streams on my face.

"Nothin, I'm ok" I lied, I don't wanna alarm her.

Once I reached the stairs I jogged down them quickly with Blue on my hip and Jay's shoes in my hand.

I know it's Julez calling me because Chance is his favorite rapper, so I set one of his songs as his ringtone.

"Mommy, your phone is ringing"

"I know, Blue. I can't answer it right now, my hands are full"

I just let it ring while I hurried down the stairs then out the front door, the phone stopped ringing before I reached the van.
