"The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had"
"What about you RaeLynn?"
I look up from my plate where I continuously push my food around.
"Where do you think we should go for vacation?" Melissa asks me.
I've been here for about two weeks now, and their boys, my brothers, have one week of school left.
"Um, I don't know," I say awkwardly.
"What about the Disney Cruise Line?" My dad suggests, "We could bring Cayden along-"
Melissa gasps, "There's a place in Orlando Florida where they have 1,000 rooms and full baby supplies. You don't even have to really pack for your baby. There is TONS of things to do with or without your kids. They have babysitting too."
My dad smiles, "What do you think about that Rae?"
I shrug, "It sounds good, I guess."
"And Colson, if you wanted, you could bring Casey along," Melissa chimes, with a giddy smile.
"That's sweet of you Melissa, but I really couldn't go on your family vacation," Colson says.
"Oh nonsense, Colson. You're a part of this family, and so is Casey. You know that." Melissa says as my dad nods his head.
Colson gives a small smile, "What would the dates be, because I'd have to check with her momma and-"
"July 2nd through 7th," Melissa jumps in, "that ways we give Cayden a little more time to grow and he'll be around 8 months."
After supper, I went up to my room with Cayden. I sat him on my bed and he stared at me.
"What baby?" I say and look at him. I give him a couple toys and he sits there playing with them.
*vibrate*
I got a text from Hunter, wanting to hang out. We've been hanging out quite a bit these last couple of weeks.
I've learned that he is Quarterback of the football team, star basketball player, and that he's dating Elena White, who is head cheerleader and was also my best friend in grade school, who later became my enemy in junior high because apparently Hunter liked me.
I never noticed back then...I was to busy with Colson.
I dressed Cayden in his pajamas and carried him downstairs.
"Dad?" I say walking into the kitchen because I didn't see him in the living room.
"They all went over to Melissa's moms," Colsons says popping his head up from the fridge.
"Oh."
"What do you need?" He asks.
"Well, Hunter wants to hang out and,"
He stops me, "and you don't want to take Cayden. Like always."
I furrow my eyebrows, "What?"
He rolls his eyes, "You never do anything with Cayden."
"Bullshit I don't. I'm with him 24 seven."
"Yeah, that's why I always see him in your dad's arms."
I switch Cayden to my other hip. "That's because my dad asks to hold him, and then they both end up falling asleep."
He takes his cup over to the sink.
"You're not that great of a parent either, atleast I try."
He turns around, his face frowned, "And why do you say that, Rae?"
