Mad World
"Their tears are filling up their glasses. No expression, no expression."
Prologue
"Mom, please don't make me go back there," I cry to my Mom.
She hugs me, "You have to sweetie." I let out a huge sob. "Please Mom!"
I pull away from her. "Mom, m-mom, mom I really can't go back there. Everyone hates me! I did nothing to them."
She pulls me back to her and she pets my hair. "You'll be okay-"
"No Mom! You don't understand.. I'm hated by EVERYONE. I have no friends. I'm not exaggerating, mom. If you send me back it will ruin my life."
"Maybe if you weren't always getting into trouble, and ruining your relationships with people-"
"Are you fucking kidding me right now?!" I scream at her.
Just then we hear a dry over the baby monitor. My mom huffs at me,
"See what you did, now Caydens awake." She gets up to go get him.
"I don't see why you're going to get him. He's my kid." I push past her and hurry up the stairs.
I lean over his crib to pick him up. "Hey baby, shhh mommy's here."
He goes into a whimper. I carry him downstairs into the kitchen. I grab a clean bottle from the cabinet and make hi a bottle. As I was feeding him my mom walked in, the phone in her hand.
"Who're you on the phone with?" I ask nonchalantly.
"Your father."
I look at her, "Why were you talking to him?"
They've been divorced for 12 years. They divorced when I was 5.
"We think it's best if you move in with him."
I stop in my tracks from rocking Cayden around. "Why?"
"Because you're out of control RaeLynn."
"How?"
My mom sighs, "All you do is run around, and make stupid decisions and you hurt everyone around you."
"I haven't went out in a year and 4 months!"
Cayden is six months old btw.
"Because you have a fucking kid RaeLynn. Your seventeen, and you have a kid. Your a huge disappointment." I felt tears coming to my eyes.
"Fine."
I keep a nonchalant face as tears stream down my face. I carry Cayden up to my room.
"Fine." I whisper.
