Two Weeks Later .
Casey sat on his bed on a Friday night , listening to music and clicking away on his laptop . He worked on a paper for English despite the fact that it was the end of the week . Something hit his window , he suspected it was just a raindrop or possibly a bird . Ignoring it , he continued on with the paper . Something hit his window again , he was now curious . A few moments later , a beach umbrella flew up and hit his window . Casey jumped .
He rushed over to the window to see the whole group standing below . Roni gestured him to come to her , so he opened his window .
"COME DOWN NOW , BIG NEWS !" Roni exclaimed , a grin on her face . Casey stepped out of the window , walking across a tree branch and down to the ground .
"What ??" He asked .
"Well . I got a pizza ," she replied smiling . Roni opened the box of pizza she held to her hip . A few words were made out in pepperoni but Casey couldn't tell what it said due to the fact that several pieces were missing .
"We e go i t a wai ??" Casey read . "Is this a joke ?" He raised an eyebrow . Roni's eyes widened as she read the pizza too .
"Who . Ate . The pizza ," she said , gritting her teeth . Skye coughed and nudged Anna Blake and Caroline who held and were currently eating the missing pieces of pizza . Roni angrily cleared her throat and they looked up .
"Uhh . We got hungry ," Caroline said , her eyes darting from Casey to Roni , who sighed in disappointment .
"Well , it was supposed to say 'We're going to Hawaii ,' but I guess someone's hunger mattered more than that ."
"Again , is this a joke ?" Casey said in disbelief .
"Nope ." Her phone screen was held up to his face . It was the Delta Airlines webpage . Seven online tickets were on the screen .
"You're kidding me ."
"How many times do you want me to tell you that this is real shit ?" Roni said , smiling . Casey was in awe . His smile turned into a chuckle , which then turned into a laugh . "Exactly , but we need to go . Right now . Like , 'shove your closet in a suitcase' now ."
"Oh . OH . O H ," Casey patted himself down and ran back up to his room , putting several shirts , pairs of pants and shorts , and a couple pairs of shoes into a duffel bag . He threw his needs into a backpack and packed his toiletries , a large smile still on his face . After gathering all his belongings he thought he needed , Casey ran down the stairs to tell his parents ."MomdadimgoingtoHawaiiseeyouwhenigetbackbyeee " He expected an argument but all he got wasn't even a glance , just his dad saying 'Bye .' His mood was immediately dampened , but he chose to ignore it . Bringing his bags downstairs , Casey opened the front door to see everyone piled in a huge black Jeep . He chucked his belongings in the trunk where other suitcases and duffel bags sat .
"CASEY COULD YOU BE ANY SLOWER . WE'VE GOT PLACES TO BE AND COCONUT JUICE TO DRINK ," Caroline yelled as Casey threw himself into the far back seats .
"It's coconut milk but okay ," Chas chuckled , wearing a floral short sleeve dad shirt and reading a Hawaiian newspaper . Anna Blake , in the driver's seat , pulled out of Casey's driveway and sped to the airport .
"Dude that's in Mele Kalikimaka , how are you reading that ?" Skye laughed . Anna Blake burst out laughing and slammed on the car's horn , startling herself more than the cars surrounding her .
